IWC Portofino 8 days Power Reserve vs IWC Ingenieur Plastiki Limited Edition

Can any of the sifusss here share your view on the above model? Was looking for a new grail before CNY and instantly fell in love with both but can only afford one..this is my first IWC watch and hoping to get some advise...

Handwind vs Automatic..which do you like better? For me I'd go with the Port 8 days because I am a power reserve nut.

I would take the Portofino 8 days but I believe it is a more delicate watch. It is not to say it is a fragile watch but guts feel that the ingenuier can take more impact. at least what i gathered from the iwc ingenuier ads

can pm how much u were offered for the 8 days? is it a SS model?

I think the 1st gen Plastiki is long sold out.
Now in the shops is the 2nd gen.

Unless you have arms and wrist like Dwayne Johnson, the new Ingy-s are huge. In this case, I would go for the Porto

Hmmm.... I saw ingenieur plastiki 1st gen in one of the local ADs in mid valley, but I prefer the 2nd gen due to its 'cleaner' appearence. Looks like most of us here prefer Portofino 8 days. One is formal look (8 days) and the other sporty look due to its 46mm diameter. Need to read abit more as I can only do one purchase (limited bullet)

but
you should GET what brings a smile to your face everyday...
