Hi guys,
I'm new here so I don't think you mind too much if I ask a few ignorant questions

* What's the correct term to use to describe a watch shop selling multiple brand? You know shops like Sincere, Hourglass. Let's call them AD for the moment until I am corrected.
* As opposed to buying from a Boutique, which I define as a watch shop only selling 1 brand, like Rolex, IWC shop in Pav.
From what I understand, AD will offer discounts while Boutique won't. I am not sure whether it's a worldwide thing but in China and HK, Boutique will not offer any discounts.
And from what I learned, buying a watch in HK is slightly better. Even if you bought it roughly the same price. The freebies thrown in from HK is much better than KL.
Just to share with all, I bought an IWC in HK, they throw in like 4 gifts apart from the usual discount (same as Msia standard). The most fancy one is a nice jewelry box. In fact, what is even more impressive is that the HK sales lady offer to courier my watch box over to Beijing (I work in Beijing) FOC coz' she afraid the Cina custom will stop me in the airport as luxury watch is still heavily taxed in Cina.
I don't get that treatment in KL eventhough the Rolex I bought in KL is slightly more expensive than what I bought in HK.
I am just wondering what's the point of buying from Boutique. You don't get anything "special".
Or is it just me? Hahaha.
I greatly appreciate any comments from the seniors. Many thanks in advance.
