Confused....Which one should I choose?

Dear all seniors and sifu's in this awesome forum.

All this while, i only have the luxury of reading and admiring all the beautiful collection as I'm new towards this hobby and have yet to learn much.

I'll be buying myself a Christmas present for the last 15 years of hardwork and tot of rewarding myself with a good watch. My budget is around RM100K and I'm confuse of which one should i be choosing as 3 of them have their own distinguish characteristics and features.

Please advise on the following on which will be the ultimate choice given the following brand:

1. JLC
2. GP
3. Zenith

It's hard for members to give u suggestion if you are not list out what type of watch you like.
dress watch? sport? chrono? moonphase, annual calender, simplicity, complicated, need water resistant, yellow gold, white gold, steel.. etc. 

Narrow it down, fellow members will be happy to give u suggestion

100k budget? Don't we all wish we have that kind of budget.
I would look at:

1. Lange and Sohne
2. Patek Phillipe

Thats about it, but of course we are all biased in our own way.
If you ask me to choose between the 3 brands you provided, I would go for Zenith... and this is just me...
Everyone here knows that I am biased...

since you long time no buy new watch, with budget of RM100k, i suggest 80k for a dress watch, 20k for a sport watch. 

RM80k you can get a lot of nice looking dress watch, depend on your personal taste.
RM20k plenty of good sport watch on the market.

since you narrow down to 3-5 brands, why don't you list out what type of watch you prefer?

But, even a cheap & simple IWC MR, used one can set u back to >150k; brand new >250k. And as for mechanical MR, better get it brand new, coz' the used one likely to be out of tune, unless sent for service immediately after purchase, which again will set u back to another 20-30k + over 6 months wait!

JLC used is easily over 300k++

Good choice though, as its sure will fetch good money in auction if u can keep it in pristine condition for a couple of years.

I suggest to increase your stake to >1M, to get the Patek Philippe, & I bet that you wont regret.

between your 3 choices, i would choose either a JLC or Zenith. are you looking for a dress or sport watch? Zenith is famous for their chrono so that would make it a sport watch. JLC has some very nice dress watches.

for a 100k, get a solid gold Rolex. you get more bang and since you have to ask how to spend RM100k on a watch, i think a Rolex is best for you.

I think your heart toward JLC, since you put JLC number 1, follow by AP, sub-consciously, you already decided, so just show us what you get

thats a huge budget you have there; if its me, i would go for the AP with the very distinctive shape. anyways, with a budget of 100k, im sure you would have done a lots of research on the brand, mechanism, history of the watch before you buy.

i would do the same thing for even a watch less than 10k.

You mentioned Minute Repeater and RM 100K.
I think one of the most bang for the buck MR is JLC if compared to AP, VC & PP.
But even RM 100K is not enough I think.. try for an auction but be prepared to send it for service which will cost at least 5 figures and a 4-6 month wait.
