Pam 312 pricing advice - italy
« on: November 24, 2011, 04:29:05 AM »
Hi guys

Been having sleepless nights since i walked into a panerai AD in venice 2 days back. Saw a 312 - RRP at €5600. Italy vat refund is currently at 14.50%, so net is €4788 (went to the panerai boutique in florence few days earlier and this was the price quoted - no additional discounts- but the saleslady was very helpful and gave me the 2011 catalogue).

Anyway, the AD in venice offered additional disc of [No discussion on discounts]. So net price comes up to about €4404 (about rm19.1k)

Cant recall the exact rrp in msia but i think it was in the region of rm24k. As this is the first time contemplating a pam purchase, would be great if i can get some input from experienced members here ie

1) is this a good deal or would i be able to get this kinda pricing from ADs in kl.
2) would i be taxed upon return to malaysia, assuming i bring back the box etc.
3) anything else i should be aware off prior to a purchase from an oversea ad - warranties / servicing etc
4) any recommendations on ADs in rome - since i have left venice and will be in rome in 2 days time  :HammerHead:

Thanks in advance guys

RRP for 312 and 359 is RM24700

to be able to get it at [no discounted price allow] basically means you have [no discount rate allow] or so which is a very good deal.
i can't say much here, but discounts for panerais are in the single digits typically.

no tax when u return.

warranty is 24 months international as long as it came from an AD. no worries there.

That's the great deal for [no discounted price allow] on PAM 312, recently i brought my 312 in Madrid boutique and the net price comes up to about [no discounted price allow] , back home this model sell at [no discounted price allow]  from grey dealer which is slightly lower compare to AD in KL. You can claim your VAT refund from airport by cash refund but try to go early as sometimes they's a long queue.
