Panerai watches PAM 241 N

Hi all

I am new to this forum (and new to buying luxury watches)

I am about to purchase on- line a Panerai from a store call watchxxxxxx.com (Price about US$7200)
My main worry is that this may be a fake. Anybody has any experience purchasing luxury watches on-line
or from this store?

FYI, I just bought a Baume and Mercier (Riviera 8780) from Amazon.I trust Amazon as I have done quite a bit of buying from them. And the watch looks brand new and genuine.  The reasons why I am buying on-line are mainly convenience, more
choices and in most cases cheaper

be careful buying expensive watch on line, it better buy from AD or try our mwf selling section.

my advise is better to buy from AD or member here. u cant really track if they wan to cheat you. so just beware as it is not a small amount

According to our forum rules, no commercial websites are allow in the post.

My advise is, buy from the dealer you familiar with or one with high reputation... if the model you can is available in local AD/shop, why not get it from the AD instead of online? Unless price is very good but also be careful, if price is too good, it maybe "too good to be true", so, just be extra careful on that

I suggest you go for ADs - yes, you may not the get the "best" prices compared to online dealers but you do get the following:
1. Piece of mind that you can inspect the item first before committing
2. Being treated like a VVIP (a human being talking to you)
3. Go back to them if something is wrong

Personal experience: Bought something online a few months ago. Not an expensive watch but it didn't work when I got it. The process of returning it to get it mended and the waiting time dampens the whole buying experience.......

Buying from online? Unless you trust the seller and price is very good as compared with the AD, you may do so. But sometimes you have to be careful, if price is too good, it maybe "too good to be true".
Do check on the warranty the seller give (ie 1 month or 3 months), and also the general waranty the watch is covered (eg. is it covered locally in the country it was sold or is there an international warranty).

I believe there is a thread in the forum on dos and don'ts of buying watches online.

PAM 241, quite an interesting choice. very seldom i've heard buyers looking for a 241.

but anyway, even at $7200, the website is only giving u 10% off. and with USD flying past USD=MYR3.24 today.

i think u can do similar, or better if u try the local ADs and grey panerai sellers in KL.

if u need help, do ask again.
