Buying watch in Switzerland
« on: August 26, 2011, 10:48:29 AM »
Hi all, newbie here, was wondering whether is it worthwhile buying a watch like Rolex (or any big swiss watch brand) etc in Switzerland or I should be looking here locally instead (incl in SG) in terms of price wise. I mean after tax rebate claim is it cheaper there?

TQ.

If you want to buy Roli, the cheapest with choices, according to most of the sifus here is Hong Kong  :Dancing_banana:

just wondering, been travelling myself a while ago...but never notice howmuch different price here, compare to HK, US, SG, CHINA, etc etc....if 5-10% only i prefer buying here...the slight premium paid for the comfort and security....but more than that i would say worth it...

Was in Zurich in February this year - prices (even after claiming for VAT) is way higher than what you can get in this part of the world. The only interesting thing there is choice - nice for window shopping though

Thanks guys... Will add window shopping to my itinerary when I go there in a couple months time.
Btw...something off this topic.. Was told by a friend's friend (hence reliability of info questionable) that apparently there's like a kinda factory outlet in Paris where you can get cheap branded watch. He got his Graham for like 1/3 off RRP. Any takers on this?
