Is the submariner no date going to be discontinued?
Read it in a few forums.
Was looking at it again this afternoon.....second time this week....i think I'm deeply poisoned....
Anybody heard anything else?

Might just edge me over to get it.
Just that I'm weighing between this and the date sub.
Price is one thing, the rm7-8 grand difference in price, the perpetually-premium price for the sd is pushing my wallet.
While the sd is more popular. I like the understatement and subtleness of the nd.

The rumour has been going round for sometime since the Submariner Date was updated/ So it has been on everyones mind as too when the Submariner will be updated. I believe that most of the series have been updated, leaving only the Submariner and the YachtMaster to be updated. So will it be updated in Basel 2012? Who knows.

What I do know is, if you like the Submariner in its current style, get it. If you don't but want the Submariner to have a ceramic bezel, wait and see.

Such a coincidence that someone else here would raise this question. I myself have been wondering that this last week or so and have found no real confirmation about it being discontinued. Whatever it is, I don't think you can go wrong with this model. It looks fantastic especially with the bond NATO strap on. The only thing that irks me is that it's 40mm in size..not that I have a big wrist but somehow gotten used to slightly bigger watches. Btw, I found a brand new one yesterday but unfortunately it was on hold for someone else.
