Actually it is interesting to note that the use of Tritium and luminova on Panerai watches is very much hit and miss. Tritium was banned between 1998 to 2000, country dependent. As such, you can see watches in the same series, I.e. A or B or even C having Tritium dial and hands or Luminova dial and hands. The watches (common believe) with the Tritium dial and hands were sent to countries that still have not banned Tritium, while the Luminova version was sent to these that have the ban.
What is interesting is the the watch I have is from 2006 and it has the Tritium dial and hands, 6 years on from the last country to ban Tritium. And Panerai has other models that use Tritium as well, like the PAM00199 from 2004.

The watch is 44 mm. I have tried the Panerai with the 1950 case at 47mm and have found that it is too big and sits too high on the wrist. The 44 mm version is just fine for me.

Thank you. Yes I agree with you on the use of faux patina on some of the current watches, but I am guilty of having one in the PAM00367.
