second and minute counter ...unlike a normal 7750 which has subdials of minute, hour and half hour plus a chrono second hand,

this 7753 ..or lemania movement have subdials of 24 hour, second and hour plus chrono seconds and minute hands. thus easier to read elapsed minutes.

that is also why "special forces" watch like Tutima Commando have only chrono minutes and seconds hand and no subdials because "missions" are only over in minutes and legibility at a glance is easier reading from the dial and not smaller subdials

I have been searching at it seems like this model will incorporate Damasko's Si Silicon hairspring and Damasko's Patented DLC Escapement.... no lubrication!!
And I am guessing the price to be on the high side as the normal DC66/67 Si already cost more than 12k...

Borrowed pics from Damasko.

Silicon Hairspring. Anyone seen those 4 round apparatus used for the fine adjustment? Is that new? Haven't seen those before  ???

When u have Lemania 5100 u tend not to like 7750 which is a "wrong" attitude. There is nothing wrong with 7750... it just so easily available and u wanna something different. This is my opinion, not anybody else. but u may concur with me :)

Ya loh, .............. sifu Gigi, please kindly elaborate your point, thank you.

Well the 7750 maybe more plentiful and common than 5100 but comparing both of them I would still prefer toward 5100 movement (I had both 5100 and 7750 powered watch) why?

-The  central min counter is obviously one of the reason due to the fact it is wayyyy easier to read than the 30min subdial of 7750.

-The chrono counter on 5100 (both on my tutima and mk 4.5) does not suffer from what they called "chrono creep" where the counter was at 1 hour mark but the hr subidial was pointing somewhere at between 1st and 2nd hour. Even lolmega moonwatch/flightmaster movement also suffer from this as myself witness it. It is annoying to get the proper reading if the chrono needle stray of. I do not know if Seiko chrono does suffer from this?

-Another thing is it can handle 7g and still work. Well the things i did will not reach 2g but I would not hesitate to wear it on my wrist during  footie or badminton game than other mechanical watch.

Well 5100 also got its problem too like crap power reserve compared to 7750 and also since it is discon part are also getting rarer (the serv for sinn and tuti here still got the part for it tho). They also had plastic self lubricating part in the movement which will crack if I drop the watch hard on the floor.

Nevertheless I would still go for 5100 instead of 7750 even if 5100 still in production today.

seiko auto chrono better then....  :Laughing_on_floor: :Laughing_on_floor: :Laughing_on_floor:

Lol, i would go for it for sure. Waiting right time to buy flightmaster

Isn't that you owned two 5100 based watches? You should have notice that unless you do not use chrono often or never at all  :o

that's the very reason i prefer 5100 over others with small 30mins sub dial.

More info of the movement from Damasko:

Timing the Minute from the center

The manufacture Damasko plans the chronographs Damasko DC 86 launch. The mentionable: the minutes timing by a hand from the center.
It seemed to be finished with the productions stop of the caliber Lemania 5100. Damasko continues this idea. A chronograph timing its minutes by a big hand from the center of the dial. There is no more clearness: precise and at a first glance to realize the chronographs minutes with the Damasko DC 86 for all possible 60 minutes and not only 30 minutes as it is usual for the most other chronographs.
The hands and dials coloring help the good reading of the displayed time: green or orange colored indications inform the user of the watch immediately about the stopping time.
The casing is made from ice-hardened, nickel-free stainless steel and entirely developed and produced by Damasko in house. It resists the hardest demands with its Damest coating. Further materials like an ultra-hard titanium alloy are in planning.
The caliber Valjoux 7750 is the basic movement. Damasko manufactured and modificated it in some parts. Damasko supplies the DC 86 with the “Si-Technic”, state of the art for precise watches, in addition to the prevailing modifications.

This matter includes not only the use of an escapement without an adjuster and free oscillating balance wheel. But also the use of a reinforced barrel and the “Damasko”-Rotor with a 4-point micro ball bearing. The EPS®-spring in combination with the balance wheel with riveted weights make the precise running of the watch sure. Damasko is well known for all these technical details with the watch connoisseurs.
All these components have been developed in house. They show Damasko Uhrenmanufakturs technical competence and innovation.
Only 5 months developmental period and Damasko presented the first prototypes during a visit of the EADS-Testcenter. The launch of the DC 86 is scheduled for the first half-year 2012.
As a German manufacture for premium mechanical watches Damasko employs 30 members of staff. Damasko delivers its timekeepers to ambitious customers worldwide. More than 100 patent-, petty patents, pattern registrations and design patents in combination with an in-plant production of more than 90 % brings Damasko to the top of Germans leading, technological manufactures.
