Would like to share my recent experience with re-brushing / re-polishing a Kirium watch bracelet.

I bought this off Ebay recently. As you can see, it's quite beaten up. It's quite "beaten up" and there seems to be some previous attempts at re-finishing it. Let's see if I can make it look presentable again.

Step 1 : Cleaning it thoroughly. I happened to have an ultrasonic cleaner and it really comes in handy when cleaning items such as this. Gets the dirt off hard to reach nooks and crannies. A toothbrush with some soap would work just fine though.

Step 2 : Dismantling the band so that it's easier to work on. You should try to get the band as "flat" as possible so that it's easier to brush later.

Step 3 : Removing the deeper scratches / scuff marks with sand paper. Make sure you rub it in one, consistent direction. If your band / bracelet only has light scratches, you can skip using sand paper and move straight to scotchbrite.

Step 4 : Once I have removed the deeper scratches to my satisfaction (I did not go all the way), I moved on using scotchbrite and polished the band in one direction to give it the brushed look. You can do it by rubbing the scotchbrite against the band or alternatively, rub the band on the scotchbrite, whichever you think would apply more consistent pressure.

Step 5 : Once I was sufficiently satisfied with the result, I finished it by wiping it down with a cloth and soap.

Final result :
Tadaa! Well, it's not exactly like new but it's looks better now. The deeper scratches can still be seen but if I want them removed, I could probably do so by working harder on it using the sand paper.

Bro, god DIY there, how long have you spent?

Thanks. It didn't take very long. It was done in less than an hour.
