Problem Solved - Too long Portuguese 7 Days Strap
« on: July 24, 2011, 08:01:11 PM »
Guys,
After wearing too long strap of Portuguese 7 Days for a while, I decided to get tailor made strap for myself. Check it out!
These two pics are the original strap. You can notice a very long tail.

I checked with the OEM, the extra short strap doesn't help solving a long tail problem, but rather help avoiding punching another hole on the strap for anyone who have a small wrist. I therefore decided to get a tailor made strap with 1/5 of OEM price.

you can notice that on 6 O'clock side, the length is the same as the OEM strap but the other side is a lot shorter. For the extra short strap from the OEM, the one on 6 o'clock side with be shorter but the tail is the same.

Now my problem has solved and I can wear the 7 days with much happier feeling  ;)

Coco you are back!
Wondered where you gone this few months.

Did you get this strap done in Thai?

Interesting shape you done to the end tail, looks more "macho" hehe.

Some tailor shop could make serious $$$ if they decide to "blue ocean" into bespoke watch straps.

possibly and they could provide 2 straps, for example. They hv modernized the BP dial aesthetic for business suit so why not provide a strap that goes with it. if they wanna go with history then provide both straps. then again... cost superseded everything :)

Hi Pete,
Sorry I disappeared. I have been really busy.
Yeah, I get it done in Thailand. Actually the end tail can be any shape, just tell them what you like.

How much was the damage, & what material was used please? Can the tail end be a bit pointed like the original one?
I get it done in Thailand. It is original croco strap. I cost round rm 200+.
about the tail, we can tell them to do any shape we want actually.
