Damasko
« on: July 08, 2011, 07:10:35 AM »
Good morning to all MWF sifus,

May I know where can I get Damasko watches in KL? Not considering buying directly from its official website as I am not sure how does the watch look on my wrist (lady with small wrist). Am also considering Sinn btw...

Not that I know of. I bought mine directly from Damasko - but the shipping price was rather hefty (back when the MYR was rather healthy against the EUR). I suggest you try a certain shop from Singapore. Not worth buying direct from Damasko as the MYR is weaker against the EUR.

There are quite a number of Damasko owners here, you can browse in the forum and seek some pictures or discussion about this watch, damn solid build , seem it personally.

My opinion is between Damasko and Sinn and disregarding design, Damasko wins by a mile.
It's an overall tougher watch.
I remembered posting in LYN the calculation if you're buying frm Damasko direct... be ready for the shipping charges of 125eur... yes, that is not a typo error... its 125 euros!!
I would rather buy frm g****n...
PM me if you would like to know...
You can chk out this link for some poison.... mine... hehehe

Oh yeah, which Damasko and which Sinn are you interested in?
Might give ppl here some idea of comparisons...

I was one of the fools who paid EUR120 for shipping! What the hell was I thinking? I've never seen a Damasko in real life before, but I knew I have to have it back then...

The DA36 is my favorite watch. It's really tough. All I can say is, after one year, the watch  (bar the strap) still looks like the way it was when I opened the box. There's absolutely no scratches on the case and crystal.
It's a really functional watch - and for a simple watch like the DA36 - I guess the Germans over-engineered it :)

Over engineering is ALWAYS good for the customers!

Its sad to let mine go though but lucky it went to a good home.

I think for the price point no watch is as tough as the Damasko.

I hav to agree. It is built like a tank.
Those germans really over engineered this watch.
Bang for bucks.
If between Sinn and Damasko, i will buy Damasko.
No doubt

too many Damasko lovers here... ;D ;D

just to add different type of toxic..

Sinn also built like tank also..been using it all this while..not a single scratch on bezel or crystal..

mine says hi...haha

although i must admit the yellow second hands of the Da36 is really hypnotizing..too bad the chrono version seconds hand not the same..

I would like to add that it is NOT scratch proof.
Mere MORE scratch RESISTANT that the rest.

If you can find something or even diamond that is harder than the material used to coat the Damasko it WILL still scratch.
