I dun see alot of Maurice fans here...
Anyway... the 1st watch I bought with my 1st bonus is actually a Tissot T-Race 2004 Athens Olympics.
Then without any forums to join, no watchlover friends to talk about watches... all I can do is to walk opposite of my office to a watchshop and window shop there during lunch time... chat with the shop owner...
Occasionally I would buy some magazines and read about watches but mostly the articles are too commercialized...
Then, one day when I got my year end bonus... I head straight to the shop to buy a watch...
During that time, the watch that I want was a Zenith Port Royal Open Chono (Saw it in a magazine)... too expensive and not available in Kota Kinabalu...
But I loved the rectangular shape and chronograph function... dunno why...
So I set my mind on finding a rectangular watch with chrono function and best if it comes with rubber strap.... and guess what??
Maurice Lacroix has one that has all that I am looking for!! And within my budget!! How happy I was!!!
Tried it on... fuzzy feelings... asked for discount... got a double digit discount and I was happy with the shop's service... I was lepaking there for a full year looking at watches and talking to the shopowner almost everyday... never once he pestered me to buy another watch... so... it was a done deal...
Now for some pics...

Love the crown... well designed... easy to handle and well engraved (or embossed) with the Maurice Lacroix Logo.

The movement... named ML112 based off a Valjoux 7750 and well decorated with cotes de geneve on the rotor and perlage for the rest.

Sits nicely on the wrist and they designed the curve to curve perfectly on the hands... fills in all the gaps for a fit.

Now the strap size for this baby is weird... its 26mm on the lug end and it tapers to 18mm at the buckle end.
I bought and extra leather strap and deployant as a spare just in case I need to use it as a more dressy watch sometimes... ended up just keeping it in the box unused... itchy butt la me...

costs me a bomb... can get another watch with the price I paid for the strap n buckle combo...

One thing I absolutely love about this watch and sometimes got mesmerized by looking at it is this... the seconds indicator disc...
The triangle is printed (I guess?) on a disc and the whole disc rotates giving me the impression of a floating triangle pointer...
Any other watch have the same kind of indicator? I dunno...
2 years after I bought this watch, the model have been updated with a new all black ceramic coated stainless steel case and they changed the rotating disc to a baton hand!! Bad move if you asked me. The new model costs more expensive... even if it's just coated stainless steel as opposed to this titanium case... the movement remains the same and the strap is also the same.
Thats all folks... thanks for reading.
