Its been awhile. Happy holiday people!

Sigh, how I miss the days when I was working on airplanes and when the Russian planes land, the pilots would approach us engineers and ask if we want to buy the watches they had on their wrist. That was in the early 90s.

Why did they do that? A little side business?

Yeah. Side business. :) But the watches were of very poor quality. Most did not last a month. :(

Luckily mine can still last very long haha. In fact it's a very old watch too lol
Good day everyone ;)

Very nice.
Just wondering what the triangle marker at 1.30 for?
How do you operate it? Crown at 3?

The triangle marker is actually movable. It is lumed on the inside of the crystal and to move it, just grab the coin-rim bezel and turn. The bezel movement is silky smooth! Line it up with the minute hand, and you have a time elapsed marker. Line it up ahead of the minute hand (or even hour hand), and you have a countdown timer.

An excuse anyways to post more pictures as the "what is on your wrist today?" pic.

And the back, and see the beauty of the IWC hand-wind manufacture movement!

The strap is a beat worn and loose at the lugs, you guys can recommend a good third-party strap maker for this?
22mm and the lugs, taper down to 18mm at the buckle. I'm trying to find a riveted strap like for the Big Pilot.

Thanks for the explanation.
Interesting indeed.
As for straps, you can google the watch boys.

Was at Penang during the Malaysia Day holidays.
Managed to meet up with 2 local WIS that are kind enough to feed me a variety of Penang Local delicacies for breakfast.

Only 3 but it's a very good meetup.

Hi, Andrew,

Thanks. Accuracy has been great and I just can't ask for more. I have been wearing it since last Saturday, and there's still no mean deviation relative to the clock on my computer after 5 days. A nice piece to own for any member of HANDSOME...

Hi, James,

It is on the Grand Seiko Japanese site. Model = SBGR079.
