on this today but not taken by today :)

What model is this?

Nice .... Is the dial enamel???

the model is srp385, it comes in three color white, blue, black and have 1500 LE for each color

nope its just normal white dial unlike the other higher end version in rome wording in enamel

i'm surprise many ppl ask me about this model, happy with this "buy a watch in 5 min decision" :p

I saw the exact same model and the 3 colours in sg wang today!! really nice!!

But as i had my heart set on a g-shock, i had to forgo this purchase. I bought an entry level G9000 mudman instead with a super discount. i thinklah. my very first g-shock.

I'm a consulting environmental scientist, so I work across many industries, and currently I'm working at a minesite.

Respect!

Sounds like an interesting job. The hazardous working environment has no effect on the watch? I suppose the watch is more tahan lasak than to be affected but I usually wear cheaper watches if there's a risk to it being "damaged"...

The 16600 is one of the toughest mechanical watches ever made - it was worn on the deepest ever dive (701 m), for example.  I'm not too worried about it.

A G-Shock would be tougher (and do I have a BFK out here ready for duty if the going gets REALLY tough) but the Rolex looks cooler  ;D

Besides, if anything did happen to it, I would just claim it as a work related incident

 .

David,
you're a bad bad influence... :Blue: :HammerHead:
Went to check out the model this afternoon and was lucky that one of the shops at Sunway Pyramid had all the 3 dial colors that just came in on Friday- 2 pieces each.. ;) ;D
Apparently there was someone yesterday who bought 1 set of all 3 colors so left only 1 set of the other 3.
Like you said the white and black face is very nice. The blue does look odd with the white day/date wheel against a dark blue face. :-\
As I couldn't decide which was nicer, I got both the white and black dial models...kiasu to the other guy who bought all 3 maaaa....
That's the beautiful thing abt Seiko..they're just so affordable to collect...

Apparently this model is being snapped up like nobody's business....real hot cakes..Made in Japan sumore..

I think the white is still the most beautiful of all the 3 with the red 12 hr marker..
If the numeral 3 was not clipped it would be 'perfect'...but at its price point, few can come close..no complaints..

on this today but not taken by today :)

Jos, do you really need 2 of the same watch? Or planning to resell?

I took the last white and black dial.
The dealer said they only received 2 sets per dealer.
Only the blue dial left.

Lucky you, so far i didnt manage to find it
Is it still available?hahaha

Hi Jason,
None of us needs more than 1 watch but we can't help being greedy esp WIS...  :Blue:....
I like both the white and black dial and the price is so reasonable that you dont need to even blink to buy them both..    Its not a GS or JLC..
Not going to re-sell...I never buy to re-sell any of my watches so far..
If I don't end up wearing them only after a few years, then I'll sell and almost always at a big loss.. :P :(

Jos, do you really need 2 of the same watch? Or planning to resell?

Thanks David for introducing us to this v  beautiful watch...I'm amazed at its very low cost given the its beauty and quality and Made in Japan..
The black is also beautiful but still nowhere near the white.
looking at the photo again, the black looks real good too !

Display back of the 4R36..movement is quite basic but at this price nothing to complain...

wahhhhh, I've received sooo many pms asking me abt these Seiko Ltd Ed watches..

Why such a huge interest in this model ?
Its running the basic 4R36 movt.

Instead of repeating in my pm..
Please read my post carefully.
Dealer received 2 sets on Friday but on Sat , 1 guy bought 1 set of 3 pieces, i.e. 1 white, 1 black & 1 blue dial.
Remainder 1 set and today I bought 1 white and 1 black..
Only left 1 blue dial...
Dealer in at Lower Ground Floor Sunway Pyramid as stated..
good luck..

Sorry I didnt take a pic of the blue dial....

This Presage is all the rage recently. Very nice (tribute/homage?) to the 1913 Laurel, so the white dial ones are far more popular. The chaps over the causeway cant get enough of it.

same movement use on monster, very durable and lasting, but cant compare with most seiko spirit range with 6R movement which is much more nicer in decorate and accuracy, i wish i know how to MOD 6R into this piece :p

Upon reaching home yesterday afternoon, I set the time and synchronised both watches.
One day later, one is running 6 secs fast and the other 3 secs slow...so total diffrential of 9 secs between the 2...

Altho the dial is really beautiful, don't expect accuracy...
I wonder if we have any local 'sifu' who is a 'God' at adjusting accuracy like this guy, Akira Ohira

My latest collection...Bell & Ross BR123 Vintage Officer.
The special parts are the hour & minutes hands are in all-black, which I couldn't find in BR official website, neither the 2011-2013 catalogue. Any shifus know about the production year of this watch?
Going to wear for a week at least to test the accuracy.

Let's move on from the Seiko thingy...

Omega Seamaster China Explorer Research Society's (CERS) Limited Edition - 351 pieces
Anyone can enlighten me on the relevance of 351 to CERS ?
I like the cal 3313 performance thus needed to replace my PO which I sold off last year..
