Supposed to be a weekend watch but new 'old' broom sweeps clean I guess..

This watch is a 3 'Firsts' milestone for me...
1st pre-owned watch
1st Flieger
1st watch with case & movement Made In Germany..

Archimede Limited Edition Flieger Original (90 pieces)

Case by Messrs. Ickler GmbH
Sparkasse Pforzheim, Germany
Movement vintage 1960's Junghans JH 687

Refer to the official message from Archimede below:

Dear Archimede's Friends,
After long preparation we are finally completing the limited edition of the
 P I L O T O r i g i n a l
Limited Edition / 90 Watches / JH 687 Manual Winding
Since starting the successful Archimede Pilot series there has been increasing requests from our customers for a version in the original design of the old B-Watches: no calendar, no brand name. In 2005 we discovered a small quantity of the historic manual winding Junghans 687 movements. We decided immediately to buy them and offer the 'Pilot Original' with a German made movement, which is no longer in production.
It took us almost two years to have everything prepared and manufactured: The cases with a solid case back, the dials in the historic design, blue minute and hour hand with white Super Luminova. The blue second hand is also luminous.
The basic movement of the 11 1/2''' '687' is the 'Junghans 87', which was developed in 1956. Our movement is a successor and was manufactured from 1961 to 1969. It was one of the last mechanical movements produced by Junghans.

The movements are 40+ years old and were manufactured with the best possible precision at that time. We carefully disassembled, cleaned and regulated them to achieve best possible accuracy for these
 historical movements.
There will only be 90 of this limited edition available. We are now in the process of assembling the watches and can ship the first pieces in January 2008. The price is $ 720, -. Please contact us if you would like to reserve one of these rare timepieces.

Hi, JOS, so you finally got yourself a Flieger with blued hands!! Congrats. If you don't mind me commenting, you should change the strap to a "honey brown" or "plum-brown" coloured strap as this will make it closer to the real fliegers used during WWII. Wear in good health!!
