Ditto! They certainly don't make 'em like they use to

Nice, very nice indeed. Great to see some pride in what they do, putting their name down on the movement. I have the H series Luminor Marina, the first sandwich dial Luminor Marina. Always wanted a painted dial Luminor Marina. Achieved that with the PAM00367.

Congrats and wear it with good health.

Nope most of my watches are on Wotancraft (support the local industry). The only exception is one of them is on a DaLuca. If not on these independent strap makers, they will be on OEM straps but not original to the watch. For example the PAM00000 is currently on Panerai OEM MX strap with sewn in buckle, the PAM00367 is on the Assolutamente and the PAM00183 on Panerai OEM cracked leather strap (soon to change to the Panerai Jules Verne strap).

Since you brought up WotanCraft and you're based in Taiwan, there are quite a few good strapmakers there i.e. Ted Su, Ray Straps, Aaron - HKTan (not sure if he is from Taiwan).

Haven't had any of their straps but if you do, please share your comments. I would love to have a piece of custom Ammo from Ted some day

If not mistaken HKTan is based in HK. I understand his straps are top rate, but I have not seen them personally. Additionally I have not had the opportunity to try out Ted Su straps. I have tried to contact him but no avail. Not sure about Ray Straps.

At the moment I am happy with James's products (Wotancraft). It is well made and very comfortable. However he is currently updating his products, so the old ones are no longer available. I have seen the new ones and they are pretty good (closer to the original). As for DaLuca straps, they are pretty 'raw' but I like them that way. He, Dan I believe is improving.

Other straps I have are more general in nature coming from brands like Banda and Morellato. But I have to say that they do make good straps, perhaps not as popular as those 'hand made' ones, but still good.

It would be nice if someone can open a thread on straps/comments & review.

Anyone have any experience with Dirk/Mario Paci straps? Also if want something closer to the original, which strap maker can give us that kind of straps. So far only bought from Heroic18 and mytee. But also like the looks of gunny, halcyon straps.

Whats your ideal strap measurement so far?

Aaron (hktan) is currently based out of Bangkok. But he is back in SG quite frequently. Kevin adeeos is also in Bangkok...

I have quite a few dirk and absolutely love them. The closest you can get to a PAV strap in terms of the leather (according to him , he sourced his leather from the same tannery that supplied the straps for pre-v OP) and the stitch as well as the cut. His sharkies are the same as well. Old skool is kool. MP kodiaks are not bad but I prefer dirk. I like long tail - I usually order them long...150/90

The Hobbit,
i'm waiting for Wotancraft to update his new collection, currently hunting for straps for the PAM390.
no choice but it's on my fav strap for the time being, GSD crazy horse 2.

Never buy from Ray strap before but he has got an exotic collection of gator/Rex strap.I thought he is base in HK but the straps are produce in Thailand.

okok, guess we can discuss about strap in a new thread.
PAM367 on a Ted Su Swiss ammo made in 1944.

very well made and the color is one of the kind.

Great straps, CK

Would love to have a more in depth discussion around straps but I'd hate to hijack this thread.

Folks, I have created a new topic around straps.

Let' populate this thread with pictures and share our experiences  ;D

IMO, there isn't an ideal measurement. It a matter of wrist size and taste (tail).

But, the OEM straps (115/75) are just way too short for my taste.

I have just added a new strap topic. Let's discuss this over there instead

was on these yesterday.

3, 6 & 9 couple watch. Since she's the ruler of the household, she gets the crown. While me being the man of the household, I get the extra "1" and "2"  :Laughing_on_floor:

Wearing this for today... wobble for today's shuffling
Love the brushed lugs and polished bezel combination. Maybe that's why I always love the Zenith powered Daytonas better.
