I think that he still has some stocks over in Japan. A friend who has the MM25 told me that the straps cannot be changed easily like panerai.

I thought there were the same?
Whats different with Poseidon?

The original RXW MM20. Suppose to be a more accurate as compared to the Panerai PAM00127.

The Poseidon collection (current). They have models that looks like the Panerai PAM00232 (1938) and PAM00249 (1936). Apologies, the current price for the watches are about RM1,500 (if you buy in Japan).

This is the exact one i saw in BV2...Wow!!! Very nicely done up but im not sure whether willing to prepare to pay such premium. Is a 47mm,pretty huge for my writst too.

At point, was thinking whether to buy since PAM is not yet in my affordable range

Rm7k is speculated price
price up bcoz it's rare
1. Ken sato is one of the biggest rolex collector
2. He himself a walking rolex dictionary
3. His rolex homage all well crafted in swiss
4. His homage is Closer to original rolex... 1950 case, dome crystal, sandwich dial, soft iron case...
5. He been sued so production ceased for mm20
6. He actually nvr promote his watches outside japan
7. Only few hundred made

so demand > supply = price up
if u some 1 will to pay rm7k then the price is fair

so let c it can b sold

He doesn't update his photobucket. You'll have to contact him via email but these days he's really slow in reply emails as well.

As i promised, pictures of my new arrival. Actually it arrived last week. Now only i have to time to post it

Sorry for the bad quality photo. Took using iPhone.

Anyways, it keeps good accuracy. Chronograph is working well too. Comes along with genuine leather strap and deployment clasp. The deployment clasp provided is very very flimsy but that's no big deal. Changed to temporary cheap cheap strap from my old watch for the moment as I don't have time to source for aftermarket straps. Quality wise, it is very well built for a homage.

Cheers

What is a homage watch mean to u then?
1. Watch - just to tell time
2. Collection - u can't find/afford for real mm so u get homage one
3. Fashion /Accessories - mm watch match ur style
4. Business - to promote then sell n to make $
5. all the above

chris,

wan to add 1 more that make me bought a homage recently.
6. dont feel the genuine worth that much (overprice) to buy but i like the design so i bought 1 homage with swiss engine.

IMHO. a homage is still a homage and cannot compare with a real authentic merchandise.....the feel is not there........

eg. a lady's best item is a real diamond.......don't ever buy a synthetic one as a replacement..
She never forgive you for that.

what's the feels of panerai fans to find that actually Panerai did use a movement that is cheaper than some people put in fakes and homages...

No, this is untrue.
It might be an undecorated basic ETA/Unitas movement, but it is a serious allegation to mention Panerai uses the same movement that others put into fakes.

You might be right, but using basic ETA/Unitas on a watch worth a few grands is abit odd. No qualm that the basic movement is one of the most reliable for the moment.

wow! let me cross....UN..Chopard....GP...IWC..LW...Hublot...Cartier...etc of the list too. So a Big Mac on Noritake makes it an upscale Big MAc?

There are tons of expensive brands using "basic ETA/Unitas on a watch worth a few(sic) grand"

not defending OP here but their decision on that has came back and bite them on their very delicate and upscale arse. but there are also tons of other far more expensive watches using the same business practice albeit in a more sophisticated package e.g. putting Mr Os in a Brioni suit and passing him off as James Bond.
