Marina militare in malaysia?
« on: April 13, 2011, 05:46:29 AM »
Ladies & gentleman,
What do u guys think of marina militare watches? I work in singapore and marina militare is consider 'welcomed' here. I was wondering how's the acceptance of MM in malaysia?!
In my opinion, a homage watch with good style! Should be worth the dollar and cents!!

Cheers

What is a homage watch mean to u then?
1. Watch - just to tell time
2. Collection - u can't find/afford for real mm so u get homage one
3. Fashion /Accessories - mm watch match ur style
4. Business - to promote then sell n to make $
5. all the above

Yeah...nearly all of the above! Well, if really wanna make money through MM, then it's best to study the demand of it in M'sia. Afterall,it will be like RM380 to RM400...cheers!

MM = Asian movement = RM300 - RM400

MM = Authentic swiss movement = RM1400 - >RM2000

I am almost a recovered watchaholic, but last checked shows only 70% recovered. How?

Alternatively, you can check out the Dievas @ rm <RM3k a pop.

I did check it out the other day at the launching (MK), Swiss 6497 movement with fine finishing, though.

Getat is one of the cheapest but QC is a hit and miss.

whether something is 'worth' is pretty subjective. The RXW is quite solidly made and it is a handsome homage to the iconic fiddy with a solid movement. If having not known much about other watches and looking at it alone, i can quite say rm7k is a bit on the high end but still a fair price. But with knowledge on watches, i can say that the price is waaaay over the premium range. So is it worth it to me? Not really now.

I personally think it is expensive too. But when i look closely at the watch,all the details were beautifully crafted

Wow!! So many good point of views already! Last two was busy and summore out station...felt left out / outdated liao!! Hah!
In my point of view... Those RWX is just not worth buying them! Because i stil feel that the marina militare watch is best to wear as a toy watch...or for sumthing casual! As long as the watch is clicking...i m sure i will spend  RM400 without much hesitation instead of RM4000!!

Are we talking about RXW or RWX? If it is the RXW and if the watch is the MM20 (original and not fake), it should go for about RM 4,500 to 5,000 condition dependent. If it is the new Poseidon range, it should be about RM3,000.

The original RXW MM20. Suppose to be a more accurate as compared to the Panerai PAM00127.

The Poseidon collection (current). They have models that looks like the Panerai PAM00232 (1938) and PAM00249 (1936). Apologies, the current price for the watches are about RM1,500 (if you buy in Japan).
