Michael Lee the WIS
« on: April 01, 2011, 07:07:33 AM »
Hi Folks, I'm subscriber to Nick Hacko' blog and recently he started an interesting pop quiz.
For his 1st quiz he had his readers answer which of the below was real / fake.

surprisingly the quiz had 247 respondents and more shockingly only 1 ....one! got it right.  :o

.
.
.
.
.
.

Even more amazingly that correct answer came from Michael a Malaysian! in Sabah.

Kudos Michael ...and who says we don't have real true blue local WIS?  ;)

+100 for Malaysia!!  :Dancing_banana:

He even got a surprise gift!!
It's funny how Nick state that alot of reply went thru great lengths to explain which is fake and real.

Actually, Nick gave out the question with 4 answers to select frm.
Objective mah... A, B, C or D...
That's why he is so disappointed coz even if you hantam oni, that's a 25% chance of getting the right answer.
But out of 247, only ONE got it right (That's a WHOPPING 0.40485%) while the others exercise their years of "knowledge" and then getting it wrong.  :Laughing_on_floor:
And he also state that if that is the kind of statistics, then we would have zero chance against replica sellers. :HammerHead:
Just food for thought I guess.
But I still think Malaysians RULE!!

To me its still up in the air.

The blog didnt state why both are real and offer no explanation.

Unless he says why this Michael Lee thought both was real and offer his explanations, i will still treat it as a damn good guess.

Even if it's a damn good guess, only one DID guessed it correctly even though statistically one would have 25% chance of nailing the right one.

Anyway, there's another pop quiz on Rolex Dials. Maybe we can give it a shot? Technically, it's still a 25% chance of getting it right even though I have ZERO knowledge on Rolexes...  ;D

meaning if we were presented with 4 watches where only one is genuine, it'll still be less than half a percent (0.5%) of picking the real McCoy... :o  :HammerHead:
of course this stat would swing greatly depending on the brand but alarming for those highly plagiarized brands (top 3 I know - Rolex, Pams & Omega)
