just my opinion, the PO liquidmetal looks awesome, and it has my vote.movement wise pam 359 to me has a basic finishing..nothing special, just the fact that its in house thats all.but id pick a nicely finished ETA any day because of cheaper maintenance in the long run and availability of parts.however to each their own,and at the end of the day its what you like ! if pam captures  your heart..then go for it :Dancing_banana:

Maximillian, I cannot agree with you more on the PO liquidmetal and I still do think it’s a beautiful watch to own. However, the greatest concern I have with the current PO liquidmetal now is that the ceramic bazel & dial may soon become standard for their newer models to come and it could  possibly be using the new 8500 movement. If that happens, then the current liquidmetal with 2500 movement may be made outdated and the only thing that sets it apart from future regular model will be very minimal. So, I’m really not sure if it’s too soon to be looking at the PO liquidmetal now…but I still think it’s a very very nice piece to have though

if the current 2500 movement is base on an ETA 2892 right?parts shouldnt be a problem, and if its discontinued, then it'll become rare!
haha but its better to have the 8500 movement if it is a better movement overall(i dont know much about btw hehe ;D) well, you could buy the PO then play around with it..if you feel like buying the pam..then flip it..hehe

Panerai P.2002 is 6 years old I believe having being officially launched in 2005/ 2006.

Hi guys, I’m now in a bit of dilemma here. I’ve basically pretty much decided on a PAM over the Omega but now the problem is my contact in a local AD here does not have stock of the Model I’m looking for and he has no idea when it’s coming in. All he’s telling me now is that they are waiting for a price revision and don’t know when they will get new stocks in. Anyway, I managed to find the PAM I wanted BNIB with a grey importer located in Bangsar Shopping Center (I assume most of you would know who I’m talking about). However my obvious concern is that I’m not sure if they are reliable when it comes to quality and services since they are not an AD. I know these guys have been in business a long time and chances are they are genuine sellers but I thought I’d ask here for opinions first before I pull the trigger. Please PM me your thoughts. Thanks.

I've had a few Pams before. 2 from grey dealers while the rest is from AD. Reliability is subjective. You have to trust the seller. In terms of quality, not too much of an issue as the watch is more likely to be genuine and any fault in quality is more of the fault of the manufacturer in question but services could possibly be an issue. However it is easier to claim the warranty if it was bought from an AD. Grey dealers Pams, normally the AD or service centre not too keen to service for you. Just my experience.

I did check with Richemont Malaysia service centre and they told me that if the warranty is still valid any watches under their group bought fr AD worldwide, they will service and honor the warranty.

Hi guys, I pulled the trigger today on a PAM 111. I know, I know, it's completely different from the pieces I spoke of when I started this thread. Long story on why I made the move but when I saw it today at a local AD, I just couldn't resist. Now I'm at a bar all excited wanting to let someone know so here I am again. Am thinking of an excuse to my Mrs why I did what I did today. But overall, no regrets on my part and I'm a happy camper for now. Will try to post some pics if my wife don't kill me tonight. Thanks for all your feedback and suggestions. I appreciate it. Wish me luck!  :Praying:

Big congrats! Glad that you finally pulled the trigger. Welcome to the PAM club.

Am still enjoying my PAM 000. But already hv the 312 in mind for my next on the list. Like you, hv to be a little low profile for the moment to keep the Mrs. happy. Anyhow, I couldn't resist getting more straps. Received my first via mail on Monday and just ordered another today. I guess that is the problem with PAM, there are so many nice straps available out there.

 Well, eventhough am tempted but my budget for this year watch acquisition has already spent on the PAM 000. It will be my next year target. Problem being a watch gila guy (that what my Mrs calls me!), there are many watches I want. My original next on list is the Omega Speedy but I skipped it for the PAM. Will see next year what will happen budget permitting.

Enjoy your new watch and wear it in good health!

Btw which AD you wen to? The "S" or "C"?

Thanks for the suggestion hanz but it wouldn't work in my situation as my wife is my BOSS!! Anyway, she saw me wearing my PAM last night and she didn't say a word. Somehow her lack of reaction is even scarier than if she said something....
