Released in 2023, the 1908 is the replacement to the Cellini line, and is perhaps the perfect modern Rolex dress watch. At launch, the 1908 was offered in either WG or YG and with the option of black or white dial, along with choice of black or brown strap. Sitting at 39mm and 9.5mm thickness, it has a sapphire crystal caseback with a fluted bezel and 12-3-9 serif font that pairs wonderfully with that charcoal black (occasionally dark grey) dial. Inside beats a caliber 7140 that now implements the
Syloxi silicon hairspring, gold automatic rotor, boasting Superlative chronometer and 66 hours or PR and a daily usable 50m of WR.
Sold as a complete set, with inner and outer boxes, manuals and warranty card. Imo, the 1908 is perhaps one of the best dress watches available on market, and compared against other brands with similar offerings (Patek Philippe, Audemars Piguet, Lange, JLC, etc) it seems to be sized and priced right indeed. The retail price for Rolex 1908 on strap is RM119,200 today, so you're getting a bargain here.
