it's jsut model numbers.

easiest way is to jsut go to the official website and put ur name and address for the catalogue request and then wait a week or 2 and you'll get a giant full coloured catalogue

https://www.panerai.com/secure/s_contatti.xpd?id_sezione=11&id_lingua=2&mode=new

the MRSP prices are not secret. try googling up the latest price list.

Excellent advice...make sure you click on both the normal and SE catalogues (you'll have to request twice)...keep those..even the older catalogues are being sold for silly prices ;)

I've tried that online but so far never receive anything from Panerai, probably I'm in China and the address is in Chinese. Anyway, I got the 2010 catalog directly from the boutique here.

not sure about that but from what i gather, they would direct the address and your particulars to your local richemont and it is sent out from there

China being having a Boutique...i am not sure why they would not send out a catalogue to you

i think there are a few dealers in klang valley who have quite a large range for panerais.

for pams, it is important that u see them in flesh and try them on.

although they look similar, but they are very much different from one another.

if your budget is below 15k, then u  have the 0 and 5 which are the best bets and basically fly off the shelves. i have never seen a 0 and 5 in an AD LOL. these models are their "BASE" models with no complications or functions whatsoever (manual winding also).

if your budget is below or around 20k, then u can try the 111, 112, 312. basically more money is spent because u get additional features like display caseback, and maybe even a date function and automatic winding with the 312. on the 312 you also get the very nice and sexy 1950s case.

if your budget is around 25k, then u have a lotttt of pams to choose from. you can choose special editions, vintages, etc etc etc etc.

my advise, go view them first, but don't be swayed by the salesperson. after seeing what u think u like, come back here and tell us what u have seen.

I'm sorry but I dont think you can get many SEs for RM25k unless its at retail or its one of the Boutique editions(either way its quite hard to get )...as for vintages...Its upwards USD 100k....for 25k USD maybe you can get some of the Pre-Vs like the Mares but they are not vintages..

RM25k budget will get you a few contemporary models or some historics with spare change for straps. The Panerai website whould be able to guide you. As for the price list in USD/EURO/GBP, you can get from Paneristi (you can use that as base for reference)

bro, SEs at 25k still got la. don't forget there are still preowned 232, 28L, 26K etc. etc. around this price. still tons of DNA.

as for vintage, what i meant was out of production. he can get a 1A,2A, 2BT or that sort around 30k+/- which is also a stone throw away from 25k.
maybe i've been reading the rolex report too much, they regard vintage as a model which is no longer in production. that's what i meant :)

Don't know about new prices as I think it is pretty standard worldwide, savings may be due to VAT and FOREX. However, on the pre-loved market, the price does vary. I think, based on what I saw, it is cheaper to buy from overseas. However, if you are buying on-line, you have to decide if the 'risk' is worth it.

Agree with u. Will only buy from those online sellers who have good online trading records and feedbacks. Will visit Singapore next week, hope to have good deal at pre-loved market there and do some comparison to online traders. Thanks
