WTS- UNIVERSAL GENÈVE POLEROUTER SILVER ref. 20368/2
« on: November 13, 2025, 12:15:07 PM »
This is a Polerouter from 1960s, in stainless steel. Inside beats a calibre 218-69 movement; an upgraded automatic self-winding microrotor, with a 55-hour power reserve. The Polerouter model name was in recognition of UG's work with the Scandinavian Air Service (SAS); with the SAS pioneering a new route from Europe to USA, flying over the North Pole, and shortening the conventional route significantly down to 22 hours from 36.

The DNA of the Polerouter traces back to the legendary Gerald Genta and features a 34mm case with 'Bombe' twisted lugs. The crosshair dial takes a page from the 1950s, with a fluid, fluted chapter ring and strong hour indices. It has a silver radium dial and silver Dauphine hands, with the tritium plots developing lovely patina and remaining completely intact. Ref 20368/2 is a non-date variant, which gives the overall aesthetics of the watch a balanced outlook.

Sold as watch only, with the pictured vintage style strap included with sale. Service history is unknown, but it is running well and keeping good time.
