Cutest California Dial ever...bar none!!
« on: March 21, 2011, 06:23:15 PM »
Wanted to pull the trigger on this so badly. Can't justify buying another one at such a short time. If it's still there he next time I am around, it'll definitely come home with me. Watching the day and date jump at 12 together is so fun!!!

Cool watch. Something you don't see very often. There are two versions, the 36 mm date-day and the 34 mm date. I prefer the watch on black leather strap.

Wow thats something new!

Without the day-date it would be perfect.

Any other dial variations of this watch?

Date version at 34mm. The watch retails below RM 5,000 here in Taiwan, but hard to find.

I have to disagree on that. Having the Day-Date adds towards the quirkiness and charm of this watch.

A distressed brown leather+bund pad combo would make it look beefier and rugged.

A very very goodalt

I like it. Robust watch, I know, mine flew off my hands and landed 10 feet away on the floor. Sent to RSC and they checked and no problem. The case some dents, but it reminds me of how good the watch is. The 'bund' strap thing sound interesting. Must look into it.

yeah i must admit the build quality is real good from Tudors.

anyone knows if they uses the same 904L as Rolex? I realise my Tudor Chrono have the same feel and build as my Sub.

I dropped my Pam one from one foot down on a wooden parquet floor and it made a dent on one of the lug. As good as the Pam is, i do feel that the build is still not as solid as a Rolex in the same price bracket.

i was lucky that Komehyo in Nagoya have all the Chronos i was looking for  :Dancing_banana:

I tried out the 143ti, Tutima Commando and Hanhart. But the build quality of Tudor and the reasonable price for a full set was what made me choose it.

it must be one of the most fun watch browsing experience  :). one whole big floor full of multi brand new and preowned watches. the brand selection are better than most AD's

now i have this regret that i did not pick up the Cali Day-Date too.  :'(

Yeah watch shopping in Japan is evil. The selection there is just awesome. There was this place that sold watches next to white goods. Imagine you are looking at washing machines and fridges and suddenly, Rolex, Omega, etc. What a sight. Don't get me started with pre-loved watches and Japan only special edition.

On a side note, hopes and prayers goes out to the people of Japan.

yeah man!!! totally agree!!! Bic Camera does have some watches

pre-owned selection in Japan is totally mond blowing and the condition is very good too

while places like HK and Singapore only stocks whatever models that the owners think that is easily "disposed" off fast, thus selection are mostly confined to Pams, AP's and Rolex.

while Japan is a total collectors haven!!!  :Dancing_banana:

Agree 100%. The range and selection is just fantastic. And they do take care of their products, even the pre-loved ones.

Interesting looking watch. Not sure if Rolex has the cali dial on an Oysterdate Precision. Checked VRF and did not see any cali dial listed.

Yeah, that was what I was thinking too.

A search through the net only found vintage looking pieces. Nothing his recent.
