Bvlgari made a huge splash back in Baselworld 2017, when they revealed the world's thinnest microrotor automatic movement, sitting at just 5.15mm thick and cased in titanium, you get an ultra thin watch with an ultra light feel.
Calilber BVL138 has a platinum micro-rotor with an automatic winding train that gives a respectable 60 hours of power reserve -- which means you can leave it off the wrist over the weekend. Along with a WR of 30 meters, you don't have to worry about splashes in your day-to-day activities.
The watch case is sandblasted titanium, giving it a matte and robust finish. The crown too is titanium, with a ceramic insert. Titanium treatment continues on with bracelet and dial (paired PVD black hands). It has a transparent caseback (sapphire on both sides) giving you a view of the Cotes de Genève and beautifully chamfered bridges.
At 40mm x 5.15mm, you would technically call this a sports watch; yet it wears so elegantly, I feel it could have two purposes. Dress up, or dress down -- make your choice when you wake up in the morning. I mean, I have had a number of watches over the years, and this Octo Finissimo still stands as one of the slimmest I've ever had.
