Hi guys, newbie here. Been lurking in this forum for a few months now. I have a Pam 328 about one year old. Recently i tried timing it to check the accuracy and i was very surprise that the watch is running 20 secs a day fast. I dont think that is normal. Shud i send it for a service or accuracy test since its still under warranty. Bought the watch fm overseas AD. Does the warranty covers this particular check? tks

Is this watch come with the COSC cert? I think their in-house has no COSC...

Without COSC I think 20 sec is not as bad... How long have you wear your watch? If you jut bought new maybe let it sit for few months first before you time again?

Don't think the warranty cover this unless it come with the COSC cert and it's not running within range then probably you can send back... Also, I remember their in house movement has been time before ship out.. Check the warranty book and see... Pam233 is not COSC but it has been adjust to COSC before ship out and the timing stated on the warranty book.. Not sure about the P9000 series movement...

Thanks for the prompt reply. u are right it doesnt come wt a COSC but it does say in the warranty that it shud run -4 to +8 secs a day. Missed that part whilst reading it a while ago. Had it about a year wt minimal use. Guess need to call the service centre to enquire more about this. Thanks for ur time. Really appreciate it. Cheers

Well there you have your answer. That should be the specs.
Looks like way out of the spec and if under warranty i would just bring in for a regulate. Shouldnt take more than 1hr.

Most if the sifu here alrd answer u Q however to me I don't really care abt e accuracy as long as it not running 70 sec more a day... Which position u place u watch? Have u continuosly wear it more thn 3 month for the oil to run evenly.

Hi Dennis, i have quite a decent number of watches . normally rotation wise i wl wear one watch for a week and it wl be in the safe for around 2 months b4 the next time using it. By not wearing it often u reckon it can affect the accuracy? I do wind it up every one week or so if i am not using it. At the moment i am timing it at all different position. Thanks for the heads up. Btw all my other watches are keeping good accuracy.

yup,need to send it for regulating or servicing. timed at different position and its way out of range. Anybody wt the p9000 movement have the same predicament?

Not really... there are jokes those days about PAM's box probably cost more than their movement... I would not say that about Harry Winston ..

Well..its the world of luxury watches..everything is priced way above the metal that makes the case and movement...

In any case, P9000 is an in house movement - hence it is not COSC certified. As for it being late, you can go to the service centre/ any decent watchmaker to get it regulated..that ought to help with the problem...the service centre though (in Singapore) is way understaffed and it will take a LONG LONG time...

Email primarily....once you get to know them better (or in reality, them knowing you), they can also call. I usually get a call followed by an email
