Am putting this classic beauty up for sale, the iconic IWC Chrono Pilot IW3717-01. Perfectly size at 42mm, it was discontinued in the year 2012 and replaced with a larger 43mm case. In my opinion, the lug width of 21mm looks much more proportion on a 42mm case, making it a perfect fit on most wrists. Another plus point in my book is the size of the subdials on IW3717 which is smaller thus classier and doesn't clutter up the overall appearance of the dial.
What I have in my hand now is an excelllent example, unpolished, barely worn, safe queen condition. The caseback sticker is still intact. Conservatively 9.5/10 with its original black alligator strap and buckle, both in mint condition. Purchased at IWC Boutique Pavilion KL in late 2011, it comes with a full complete set (box, instruction and warranty booklet, warranty card). The box and pillow holder however don't age well in our humid Malaysia weather.
