How to Put on a Nato Strap on your Watch
« on: February 09, 2011, 11:16:21 AM »
Hi All,

Not sure if there is another post on this. But this is my contribution. Hope this will help someone here who needs to change his/her strap in to a Nato/Nylon Watch Band

1)

First remove the push pins of the watch with a push pin tool.
Then put the push pins back on the watch. Cause we will be using the original push pins to fit the nato strap.

2)

Open the Nato Strap

3)

Insert through the top push pin of the watch and then through to the bottom push pin as in picture

4)

Follow the image to put through to the other portion of the Nato Strap

5)

Completed Nato Strap on my Rolex Submariner

More images of the Nato on the Rolex

Enjoy!

I have personal experience to add. Removing the bracelet was relatively easy. I unable to put back the bracelet and ended up passing back to the AD to help me. 1 reason was I was only armed with a screwdriver. It is the same screwdriver I used to remove the bracelet.

Those who would like to have the watch sit lower on the wrist should consider a 2 ring nato instead of a 4 ring type as shown. Those are easier still to mount...

A very good writeup indeed. Unfortunately, it is always hard to find good Nato straps in Malaysia. Best is to get from overseas. More choices.
