... i don't think it's hard to wear the AS at all. Just strap it on and wear it as long as u feel comfortable with it.
it can't be harder to wear than a thick panerai watch. i know a friend who wears a Santos..and he is 100% man (and i'm not saying tat the santos is feminine) :)
i concur with terence on this :)

it is a very hard watch to carry, that's all ... [reserved for the artistry community ;)]
This statement indicates that you are either have not seen/hold an AS watch before or you are just plain  :Scolding: stupid and ignorant to associate gay/difficult to wearr/reserved for artistic community comment to AS watches.

The watch wears just as comfortable as any other good watches.  If you can't stand the design, you are entitled to your opinion.  However, to conclude that it is difficult to wear because of the bold colors and geometric shaped design (and thus probably gay to you) is just unfathomable.

Gay are known to have exquisite taste and appreciation for finer things. (which is why they usually dress better and have better physique)
i am not against gay.
and to all who think themselves as high and mighty, if you don't care what ppl talk about you, try wearing lipstick tomorrow to work.
we own things for BOTH self-satisfaction and also for showing-off ok ...

if u disagree, then congrats, I think you are at GOD-level already.

and do you know how many ppl in malaysia can even distinguish an AS ? i bet the rate is less than 1%, sorry, make that 0.1% or 0.001%

yes you own an AS, congrats to your great taste, you ownself said that ppl will mistaken it for a toywatch, then why can't others think that it is a gay watch ?

i remain stupid and ignorant.

< - not gay ? this watch inspired Boy George

Yes, I don't care what people think about the watches I am wearing especially people like you.  You are entitled to your opinion, but if you want to say statements as such in a public forum like that this then I am having an issue and disagree with it.  Like I said, you can dislike the design but I just don't understand how can one associate it with gay except stupidity?  It also shows your ignorant about gay people in general.

People who disagree with you are all thinking they are God-Level?  As per how many Malaysians know about AS, I frankly don't care but then how many knows about Lange, Richard Mille or Vianney Halter?

At least we can agree on you last statement.

PS: so if Boy George or Elton John is wearing a bling Rolex, are you going to conclude that Rolex is also a gay watch?

Chill out guys..to begin with the word 'gay' is a tad bit rough and offensive hence all this miscommunication. I believe the right word here is 'metrosexual'. Beckham is a metrosexual but he hardly seems gay does he? Like it or not, when the word 'gay' is mentioned, the first thing that jumps to peoples' mind is that the man is a homosexual. Calling a straight dude a homo, is in fact offensive hence all the backfire and heated comments. Anyway, an AS is a hard watch to appreciate but to an afficionado or a collector, it is a thing of beauty. The watch may seem gay to an individual but saying that the wearer is gay for wearing an AS is offensive to the wearer. Sometimes, as everyone always say in terms of individual taste and preference, ' one man's meat is another man's poison.' So go gentle on the words. (Just trying to clear the superheated air in this thread thats all)

OK, Scott.  You know me, I just like to pick a good fight with people.  ;D

The fundamental issue I have with this guy is that he is making a lot of stereotyping and sweeping statements such as AS watches are gay watches; "Gay are known to have exquisite taste and appreciation for finer things. (which is why they usually dress better and have better physique)" AND claimed that he is against gay.

I don't think this is a case of miscommunication.  Honestly, the issue is not that I am upset because he inferred that I am gay because of the funky AS watch.  Like I said, people are entitled to their opinion and I don't care.  It is more about ignorance and bias against gay which I find cannot tahan.

Hahha..okok... i am sure different people have different opinoin or maybe some words used to someone is normal/OK/no big deal but to someone can mean a lot different.. so, i really hope all members can find "balance" in choosing the right words ;)

You guys have every right to make any comments in any post but i hope/wish you all can respect each other and don't pick/make small matter becoming so big and everyone fight on it... i am sure u all don't mean to hurting each other, right? :)

some time, words easily cause miss-comm, one might not mean anything but other might thought it's offensive ;)

But i'm happy to see you all are so actives here and hope we can end the topic/issue here at once ;) It's CNY 2011 post le~~ >.<""

Cheers!
scott

See the white gold and SS pictures below ...

White Gold

SS

I actually prefer the black SS dial.  Both are stunning nevertheless!  PanoInverse is somewhat against the DNA of GO as some people claim.  But I just love them!

OK.  Peace.  Actually like I said, AS is not for everyone and I wont be offended if you tell it to my face that you absolutely hated AS watches!  And I can totally understand.  However, just avoid stereotyping statements which may be biased.  OK?

I will try to join one of the gatherings this year then you can fondle it to your heart's content   ;D   Lange is probably the best of Germany but GO is not very far behind and much more affordable.  Then this is all relative as the list price of the GO original croc strap (not even including the buckle) is a whopping RM1600!

I have the same thought at first when looking at the magazine and web... Changed my mind when I saw the real stuff I'm front comparing site by site.. The white gold still much better in fresh.. The dial actually look better then SS :) that's why it still cost double then the SS version ;) just my opinion after seeing and holding the real
Stuff before la ;)

@Scott, with the price of the white gold GO PanoInverse, I think i have no choice but to love the black dial SS version anyway!   ;D    For that price (white gold PanoInverse), I will probably get a H. Moser & Cie!

I have seen the real white gold version but have not seen the SS one yet.  So you may be in a better position than I am on this.  Yes, sometimes a watch may look awesome in pic but real life is not so overwhelming and vice versa.
