Omega Seamaster - What model is this?
« on: January 24, 2011, 07:40:16 PM »
Just wanted to find out the model/ref. number for this Omega Seamaster. Am quite attracted to it. Is the previous generation Seamaster (from the current model)?

Discontinued ~2007 before Omega going full force for co-axial.
Much nicer than Bond's Seamaster, IMHO.

Thanks gapper and ck77!

So have to go look for pre-owned then.

Takes time but you can still find them in the shelves of AD. I got mine new from AD last year. It is still available although it has been discontinued since 2007/08. The watch, reference 2254 is available with either the Speedy or Bond type bracelet.

The 50th Anniversary model is the GMT version, reference 2234. I could be wrong but the white dial version of the Seamaster GMT does not have the '50 Years' on the case back. Only the black version has the engraving.

saw one just now at a friend's place. What movement is it using? It looks like the power save modes on a Citizen.

The GMt is powered by Omega calibre 1128 and the normal is powered by Omega calibre 1120. Both are based on the ETA 2892-A2.
