Watch Winder
« on: December 03, 2019, 09:27:18 AM »
Good Evening MWF,

May i know is there any significant between a Branded Watch Winder Compared to OEM/Unknown Brand from china? I'm asking for real user experience as i've already read some review online but mostly by reviewing company/ paid advertisement.

The reason i need a winder because my watch is mostly sit inside safe, prefer to wind it once per week.

From a practical perspective (disregard the branding fluff and styling), branded and unbranded watch winder does the same job. You need to do your research to find out which OEM gives the best value for money.

In fact, there are a lot of threads created on MWF regarding watch winders. Do have a look at them to find out more.

Just to add on bro Meor's reply,

I will also be concerned about will poor quality winders magnetizes my watches inside [With the motor and connected to AC power]. If im not wrong, good winders has this in mind during their design and build.

Nevertheless, I never had problem with my cheap RM 400 - wooden 4 slots, 6 watches winder for 3 years. Aside from the increasingly noisy rotors, and the peeling off of the faux leather wrapped cushion  ;D
