i think you're being a little defensive here.
of course it's fine to say you don't like a certain brand, that's fair enough. but there's no reason for calling it 2worst than a piece of shit."
a little civility is appreciated here.
besides, we are only interested in the reason behind why you are so against PP. if you can give us a good reason, that's fine, but to lash out at other members, that's uncalled for.
i own a tag myself, i personally don't feel offended when you say you didn't like it.
a little common sense goes a long way, newbie!

Yup just looking for conversations here nothing to get angry about.
You said its worse than a piece of shit but surely you have your reasons right?
So if you feel by your lack of appreciation you think its crap then maybe its unfair to Patek?
Again this is in no way meant to be insult or anything just trying to get the discussion going.

Well if you google and research the watch that i called dinasaur poo, it IS dinasaur "shit" that they use to make the watch. Its the ACTUAL SHIT no kidding hahaha!

Woah... heated i see
I think takashi meant no disrespect... he's juz asking for your reasons why you think a certain brand is not to your liking.
I have some brands that I will not touch as well and the reasons are purely my own... other ppl might not get it but it doesn't hurt to share bro...

genec, if others can mention that " who in the right mind would buy such a watch" here and said what i wrote doesnt make any sense and i cant say it is worse than a piece of shit. who is being defensive?

so , the statement who in the right mind would buy such a watch is fair ??

personal opinions are entirely personal and they dont need to make any sense to anyone. I dont have to fair or unfair to PP, because even if i dont like it, doesnt mean it is a bad watch. it may not be for me maybe now or maybe in 20 years time i have a big collection of PP? nobody knows.

being expensive is not everything takashi, and yes, i would take a Ferrari or a Porsche over a Zonda any day, because to me the Zonda is just plain ugly and has no heritage that is of any value to me, but maybe to others.

if you really want to know why i dont like PP personally, i think they are more like cartoon watches and they look like crap to me personally and doesnt fit my personality and seriously for now, i dont know who in the right mind would even pay for it.....those are my reasons for now till i can appreaciate them better. i hope nobody takes my opinion and start a flame war here.

Relax. To each their own preference. Hence the title 'watches you just dont get' cause if you 'get it' then its a whole different matter.

Lets go BIG this time with this.
Even on governators wrist it looks big.
And yet i see alot people buy that with small wrist. I wonder if they wear it daily or just to show off.

On a side note, when i was looking for pics of this watch to post MWF link came up with Chris thread!

Interesting topic this..

I am no fan of what i personally term as "gimmick" watches and for me Romaine Jerome ( and that seriously bling Casio...wow!!! ) falls under this category.
I dunno what RJ sells for but I presume its some astronomical RM 6 figure...might be ok for some rich corporate figure Dato' with an overflowing bank a/c so that he can brag about his watch being made of titanic steel/moon dust/volcano while holding a voluptous babe in his arm...but for me minus the gimmick the watch is just all packaging , period. If u hv that much to spend (which I don't AND won't anyway), Patek at least has an in-house movement, heritage, historty and re-sale value.

I was shocked to find out that some RJ basic models list for under 40k or 30k ringgit.
I sorta like their Moondust models though. LOL at the dead alien on the dial.
