Need Advice btw ORIS and TAG

Hi all, happy new year... im new to this forum.

I Would to seek some advice for my upcoming purchase.

1. ORIS william F1 08 Chrono Series
2. Tag Huer Carrera Series

Which would be the better deal? i couldn't make up my mind...

Meantime, would appreciate sifu2 can pmed some useful info i.e.
good bargain (discount) shops at least i can try my lucks on my purchase..

In my layman perception, Tag is always 1 (if not 2) grades "higher" than Oris.

If you like both designs, and the watches are priced similarly, go for Tag.

Yup go for Tag Carrera. The best looking imo for Tags so far, other than the Monaco. Then again it depends on your style and usage occasions plus your impression of both brands firstly.

For the price of the Carrera you can actually get an Omega PO, if you like Omega, which is again imo an even higher grade than Tags.

I would always prefer Tags over Oris somehow. In my mindset Tags are related to golf and racing while Oris are related to superbikes.

i'd go for the Oris.. but then again my Tag Suuuuuucks and is probably far from normal tag standard... love my Oris tough n hope to buy more models in the future Since Im mainly in2 vintage.. Id advice you to buy an old Heuer.. beats both Oris and Tag Heuer

I have 1 Oris and 2 tags. Experience so far, the Oris (BC3 but before they became High Mech with the red rotor) great, Tag (1500 series and F1), 1 ok, the other suck big time.

I have seen both Carrera and William F1 at the same time, both are gorgeous
really hard to pull the trigger on it. I agreed with the comments bout TAG
it's so called higher grade than oris... as for OMEGA it don't suit me now
because my aged was still early 20's..

However I really need to try on both to find the answer for myself also
hope that price quoted will not exceeded my affordability.

oris, is tough but heavy compare to tag. can wear it for some hardcore activity. price oso should b cheaper compare to tag. but if u plan to resell it later then the resell value is much lower than tag

tag, lighter than oris. if you wan to buy a more known watch then this is definately a good choice. but i have encounter the calibre 16 is not so stable. i dont know others have the same experience o not.

lastly if you have a budget to get tag carrera (estimate RM10k), then i personally suggest you can consider IWC pilot. a range that is much higher than both of them and the watch is really nice, price should be around rm13k+

I dun think IWC should be around RM13k only. As what i have been see from AD last time was Around RM40k for IWC big pilot...........Anyone can advise ??

Bro rioet.. what is the not stable thing about caliber 16? Also.. do you know what is the normal discount AD will give for IWC?

my tag carrera run plus 1 min daily....1 week down is faster by 5mins. end up i send back for service. now still not that accurate compare to iwc n rolex. hehehe

IWC if u buy from boutique is only xx% in kl. buy from dealer mayb still posible to get xx% in kl.

I dun think IWC should be around RM13k only. As what i have been see from AD last time was Around RM40k for IWC big pilot...........Anyone can advise ??

bro, big pilot is rm44k in boutique. i say pilot not big pilot. is diff model. u can check online for pilot 3717. if big pilot is rm13k i would have bought long long time edi.

all depends on how much u can afford. but if u cont blending urself in this forum, i m sure 1 day u will b wearing a rm10k above watch. i start from seiko as well, then move to oris then tag then iwc then rolex. i m sure u will upgrade urself time to time. gambatte lah

ball, may look more dressy.... but with better shock resistant and anti magnetic and wr. and the thick solid bracelet is best in industry to me! the tritium is to die for if u never hv 1!

seiko with much better movement, vertical clutch and column wheel in house movement. worth every cent u pay for...
tag u got to pay for tiger's lover....

oris since i dunno where to put this.... spec wise, loosing all out for its price! but sponsor f1 team.... so mayb u like to associate urself with f1

Regardless of Oris or Tag, both are good watch, just follow your heart, which one you like best. After all, you are the one who always wear it. But once you become watch addict, pretty sure you will buy more in the future for collection...
