Malaysia Watch Forum Luxury Watch Brand Survey
« on: January 04, 2011, 06:08:19 AM »
Hi guys,
Let's do this rather unscientific and informal survey to determine which is MWF members' favourite luxury watch brand.
Please help out by voting for your favourite luxury watch brand here.
Only one vote per member please.
The poll will run for only 7 days.

I voted Rolex simply because last year i finally bought my Explorer-1 after lusting for it for over 10yrs.

And finally Rolex came out with something "daring" with the green sub-c date.

Looking at Basel n sihh.... 2010

With new CEO Seems rolex changed alot!
New sub is well improved! The bigger explored 1 also eye catching! So my vote go
for rolex this yr

pam lost it's pricing strategy n scarcity...
Now with manufactore movement, production increase... Worst is so many complaints on movement
new design is ok except the ah Fook version
n not sure y new radiomir down size from 45mm to 42mm... To please china Market?

Mayb we should hv another vote for lower end watch brand. Some of them r really gd!

I would have voted for MB&F if it is there. But GO is having a good year in terms of some of the excellent watches they are creating.   GO also won a couple of “Watch of the Year 2010” and “Goldene Unruh 2010”.  There are other more expensive watches but GO is certainly unique: always great looking, classic and elegant.

my vote goes to IWC

I've added the following brands:

Cartier, Zenith and MB&F.

There is also the option to change your vote in case you wish to vote for the newly added brands.
The limit of 1 vote per user remains unchanged.

I changed mine to MB&F.  It is my favorite brand because it is pushing the envelope of horology.  I just wish that I can afford one of its creations!

Hehehe. I think I can afford it if I trade in my car for a Proton.  ;D
I think HM2 is USD60k. HM4 Thunderbolt should be a lot more expensive!

Agree 100% but still love the brand. The Fook version,.... lots of them here in the pre-loved market. Sigh..... hope 2011 will be better.

i remember seeing some watch chart (x,y) stating (roughly):

entry level below RM1.5K range
low level below RM15K range
medium level below RM16K-RM50K range
high end above RM50K range

maybe that's a better survery :P , but since watches have prices spread all over ... it's quite hard to pin-point...
