Did Rolex change the magnification of its cyclops?
« on: October 25, 2017, 09:28:20 AM »
Hi,

Did Rolex change the Cyclops magnification on its Submariner line over the years?

I have here two submariners; one is 16610 and the other a 116610. The cyclops magnification on the 16610 seems slightly bigger than the 116610. Please have a look at the attachments.

I thought Rolex cyclops have always had a magnification of 2.5x. Would appreciate if any sifu out there can help clarify.

Thanks!

this subject has been discussed extensively as well in Rolex Forum. It seems that the magnification of modern Rolex varies from watch to watch and some watches are even lower magnification of yours from what i have seen in the forum. My 116710BLNR magnification is similar to your 116610LN
