What are the general thoughts about Ulysse Nardin watches?

Aesthetically, I like The Freak, The Trilogy and Grand Deck Marine Tourbillon. These pieces are amazing but way out of my price range.
UN's standard entry pieces are, however, slightly boring.

I have loved the big date GMT for the longest time, but I couldn’t afford afford it then. These days the newer bigger case big date GMT does not appeal to me. Looking for a preloved 40mm big date GMT on the used market proves to be very challenging. Maybe no one wants to sell theirs. Ulysse Nardin is a great brand, but not known to many. I love it.
