Omega Speedmaster Day-Date Two Tone Price
« on: June 24, 2017, 11:27:12 PM »
Hi everyone, it's my first time posting here but I've been a lurker all these while.

Photo grabbed from internet for reference. The one offered to me is with a SS/YG bracelet.

In 2015, someone pawned me an Omega Speedmaster Day-Date chrono, 18k two tone. I wore it for a year and eventually had to return it when the debt was paid back to me.

However, the owner is deciding to let go of it just a few days ago and asked me to name a price. I'm not experienced with Omegas and have no idea about the prices, so I'm hoping if anyone here can give me a ball park figure if possible.

Here are some of the information of the watch

Omega Speedmaster
White dial
Day Date movement with Month indicator
SS/YG 18k two tone
SS/ YG bracelet (photo below is with leather)

Condition wise, I rate it 6/10 as the case and bracelet is full of scratches and small dents. During my time of wearing I had also spent 1.2k for a service as it stopped moving then.

The sellee is asking MYR 15K for it btw. Is that an okay price?

Hoping to hear from you all soon, thanks again!

Forgot to mention that it does not come with box and papers though.

According to www.chrono24.com

The preowned piece price is USD 3.7k. Normally, the same watch that is sold in Msia, the price could be lowered by 5% to 15%.

Hi Cocas, thanks for the reply. Yes I actually have searched on Chrono 24 and eBay as well, search results around 2-3k usd. However these are pristine condition watches. The one that is offered to me is in a less than favourable state. I'll try to see how good the price i can get. Wish me luck. Hehe

Thanks again for the feedback!

Can be lowered about 10%+ for full set. Otherwise, 20%+ if feasible.

Hi all, pulled the trigger and got it for RM 5,000, looking that I spent RM 1,200 last year for a service so it's RM 6,200 in total.

Anyways, I made a mistake in my first post. The watch that I got is a 323.21.40.44.02.001

Needs some cleaning and polishing to get the shine back. But overall I think it's a good deal. What do you all think?

Congrats on your new watch! BTW, if I may ask, the 1.2k service wasn't at the Omega service centre right? Just estimating the cost for when I send mine (similar watch) in.

Hi kinson, I sent it in through an Omega Authorised Retailer, not sure if it was sent to the SC or done in-house though as I was overseas during that time. My family member was the one who sent it in.

It should be in-house. Price for a full Category C servicing for chronograph at Omega SC was circa RM2.5k, with an additional 2 years warranty thereafter. Previously serviced a Planet Ocean (cheaper than chronograph servicing) and Speedmaster at Omega, and the results were top-notch. The hands would be changed during servicing, and the parts would be shown to you after replacement but not allowed to be retrieved back.

Yes I believe it's in house now since they only performed the servicing. No cosmetic maintenance (polishing and buffing of the case and bracelet). I assume polishing will be a standard task if the watch is sent to a Omega SC for servicr?
