Impulse Seiko purchase..

Dear MWF,

Good Saturday morning!

Well... As per subject above, I did an impulse purchase of this Seiko without doing any sort of research. One thing I know is I'm always drawn towards seiko's cabinets for their divers with a shroud (not sure if this is the term).

The killer thing in this seiko is the green dail and the cool yellow bordered hour markers filled with lumebrite. The execution is flawless to me.

Upon home, I started to do some research and couldn't find much information about it. Found some discussion on lowyat forum some saying it's a tuna, but some saying it's the monster series.. I'm not so sure. One thing sure is I'm loving the watch.

Hence.. Seiko sifu around.. Any input will be greatly appreciated!

That's the latest reiteration of the baby Tuna i.e. SRPA99k1, meant for Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei, Macau and Hong Kong markets. RRP : RM3,381.40, and I started seeing the piece in our ADs about 2 weeks back.

Baby tuna? That's the first time I've heard of it. Will do some read on the differences.. Heard of tuna & emperor tuna as of now.. Yup. That was the rrp.. After discount is around 2.5xx..

Baby tuna? That's the first time I've heard of it.

The Baby Tuna are basically smaller, more wearable, and more affordable variants of the full-fledged Tunas. Definitely worth adding to one's collection. They were all the rage before the Turtles emerged.

Thanks for your information Andy. After wearing it for a day, I'd say it greatly exceeded my expectations! Good built quality and the Lume is.... Lume is a super flashlight which makes my panerai sandwich Lume shameful!

Aside, it says ceramic + s. Steel. Does it mean that the shroud is ceramic and the turning bezel and the watch case is s. Steel?

Yup. That's correct. The shroud is ceramic.

Kl many places selling this now.. Most of them only have 1-2 pieces each.. Got mine in leisure mall.. Spotted this in velocity, giza, & mid Valley as well!
