Omega Speed Master- Any comments from bros?
« on: June 05, 2017, 09:34:35 AM »
Hi everyone at MWF,

I'm contemplating to buy this pre-owned watch for my wife and would like to hear your views and any experience about this watch. The quote price is 23K rm with full box and papers, including the diamond certification cert. Watch condition is very good.

Looking forward to your kind comments.

Cheers

You have a lot of options at that price, why not Rolex?

take away the diamonds, and thats essentially like a rm7-8k watch at current market rate.
so do u think those diamonds are worth rm15k?
probably better off buying some real jewelry.

plus ur heart is gonna pain should any of them come loose from a knock etc.
at least on a ring or bracelet etc, its easier to prevent knocks :P

23K puts you in a comfortable position for many many watches new and pre loved. This one just isn't worth the price.

Ladies love diamonds, that's a given fact. But if your wife does not have a special preference towards Speedy, you could also opt for the DeVille diamond, which is within your budget. I got my wife a Speedy (no diamonds) previously for casual wear, and the DeVille for dress wear. The quartz movement makes it thinner and easier to wear for functions.

If she has to have a Speedy, I would go for the new 38mm one as advocated by CK.

Rolex | Omega | Bell & Ross | Panerai | Seiko | G-Shock |

Many thanks D'Andy and CK for the great suggestions. Ladies and diamond are always a potent mix for us!

The new speedy without diamonds are indeed worth considering though.

Chronograph/meter may not be practical for ladies, you may consider the Omega constellation the multi-stone/rainbow (model #1465.79.00) though.

I showed my wife your diamond omega pictures just now.

To my surprise, she like it ! Especially, the classical dial design with vivid red numeric.

23k budget you can look further, my wife was previously eyeing on frank muller but i managed to convince her to get the cartier santos. frank muller will have the bling factor minus off the diamonds.
