Montblanc or Longines or BR or ORIS
« on: May 30, 2017, 06:25:40 PM »
Hi,
I'm looking into buying a everyday use watch which can be used as formal or casual. I have shortlisted few models, however would like to know pure from brand value point of view how would you rate the following brands?

Montblanc, Longines, Bell & Ross or ORIS?

for diver go Oris or Longines. You can get some nice vintage type for reasonable prices and flexible enough for all occasions.

have fun.

IMHO, if u want to find a daily beater which suits any occasion i would suggest ORIS because their designs are more universal and flexible (if u get what i mean)

Montblanc is a brand which I feel is being refreshed and their brand pedigree is getting better. Being under the helm of former JLC manager, I feel their design is getting timeless. However, their brand is still relatively new in the horological world.

Go for BR if you like aviation and their design only.

Longines has a longer history and their heritage line is just beautiful. Oris has some good lineup but Longines and Oris as brand has too much in their line to be considered a true top tier. They have something for everyone which I feel has its pros and cons.

BR any day any time. But thats just for me. I suggest going into each store and trying on all of them. Choose what means you feel good.

Hi,

I would vote for Oris if I have to choose from your choices. They have a great lineup which fits both casual and formal. Divers tend to look totally different under the influences of strap.

Good luck !

Comparing Longines and Oris, I find the overall build quality for Oris is slightly better, maybe that's just me.
