Which Automatic Watch to buy
« on: January 10, 2017, 05:42:55 AM »
Hi all sifu,  I am a newbie here. I was shopping around 1U and saw the Ball counter. After trying a few models. There are 2 caught my eyes which is within my budget (below RM6k).
The Engineer Master ii Diver and the Fireman Racer. I have a small wrist which I think the 40mm Fireman Racer is better fit my wrist. But I like the 42mm (15mm thick) Diver too as it has the bezel which I can use it for time counting.
I basically want to use it as my daily watch in office work when I wear in long sleeve and tie (sometimes). And shirt and jeans when I go for site work or out as casual.

Any suggestions of sifu here or you have other brand suggestions? I have seen a few Oris but I just didn't fall in love with them.

The diver gets my vote. However, only you can make that decision. Follow your heart.

From the pics and my naked eye, I would say they look pretty similar in size. Aesthetically, the diver gets my vote.

I will choose the black face diver because the hour and minute hands are more shinny and nice!

Out of the 2, Black dial off course. It's easier for you to match shirt too.

But I think it's too big to be under sleeves

Very nice...congrats and enjoy the new watch. Ball makes great divers, and with awesome lume to boot.

I will go for the diver too, because you might need it in the future (most likely, yes). To time meetings and what not - plus its much more water resistant and its better for humid and rainy weather. But something that makes you overprepared...

Cheers

That's a great choice. For daily use watch, you can hardly go wrong with a diver.
