Was in a Rolex outlet couple days back. Noticed that Tudor is no longer there. Tudor own boutique soon?

Should be interesting if Tudor was stepping out from Rolex's shadow.

I believe Tudor will have their own boutiques as I have seen this in a few places. From my understanding they are also looking into having shelf space in shops like other brands.

Tudor is going bigger way
Instead of sitting beside n always overshadow by his big brother

That's just another strategy

Tudor gives me an impression that it's just like Orient and stays under the shadows of its mother brand.

That is why now they are moving away n to be stand alone

Orient is also doing the same. ADs of SEIKO now not automatically get to offer Orient.

Is it weird that I don't want Tudor to differentiate itself with its own boutique?  My impression is Rolex keeps wanting to push Tudor ever higher on the pricing/prestige scale.  I like where it's positioned right now, and I feel like trying to branch out with its own boutiques is just another step in trying to elevate the brand to the  next level of prestige/pricing.  Do we really need yet another brand to become more out of reach of "mid level luxury"?

What I notice is as Rolex wants to keep pushing its own prices up it is using Tudor to fill in the space where Rolex used to occupy.  I just don't want to see Tudor Black Bay become what the Submariner is today so that the Submariner can go ever and ever higher.

Tudor can sell because is from Rolex, subconsciously we tell ourselves it is a more affordable Rolex with different name.

I wonder what if Tudor is Tudor, can it sell by itself?

I think for someone who is not familiar with Tudor it might be true that they might be swayed by the fact Tudor is the "other brand" by Rolex.  However, the quality, fit and finish of Tudor is much better than say, Hamilton, Longines, etc so if you care about such things it is definitely worthy of a mid-level luxury position even if not associated with the Rolex brand.

Don't think Rolex pushing positioning n price up

Put up the store n display independently

It's just a strategy

U will hv sales staff dedicated to sell tudor, they need to know value of tudor, design of tudor...

N Tudor poster n images can stand as high

If it is in the Rolex boutique
Customer go in will tend to compare

Having had the Black Bay and Pelagos in my collection, I dare say that these watches could definitely hold their own weight and that Tudor is a great brand with value-for-money placements. If they could branch out from Rolex's shadow, that would be great for the brand to grow. I got tired of people asking how was my "poor man's Rolex" doing in real world. In terms of wearing, I would put the Pelagos at a close second next to my personal favourite wear i.e. Sea-Dweller Ceramic. Submariner would come at third place, together with Black Bay. But then again, the Pelagos cost circa half of that of SDc, so that in itself should indicate that it's a lot of watch for its asking price.

Since Tudor already developed their quality in-house calibre and the brand name is more recognized now, I think it is a good and right move for this brand to have its own boutiques to walk out the shadow of its big brother. I do agree, its new Pelagos and Black Bay may be more superior than its Swiss peers in terms of quality and finishing.

Seems like Tudor is heading towards Sports/Tool watch direction.
