to aid in your recovery, you should reduce your collection... I wouldn't mind taking the PO off your hands...  ;D

So a definate cure is a poorer pocket....well said. Thanks for sharing.

I can see you're only 60% recovered. I guess the pocket is still half full? ;)

Manburg; I see you are now a recovered watcholic. You very sure of that?.....Its take me years to come to my senses.... and yes, my pocket is still half empty....

He he he ... thanks for your good intention, but no thanks!! You've made the right choice , but the PO is my "anak emas" and would never depart my nest.

Thanks Danny. I guess caring is sharing! :D

But no, I'm not a sifu at all - I'm just a beginner :-[. While Hobbit is a different story altogether. Just look at his X-33! ;D

He he he ... I'm very sure my brother, and I know why you're still not fully recovered. You've got to reach the stage where the pocket is fully empty. ;)

Sifu? Nolah, lots more to learn. Need to get one of the moon watch. Got the book (A Time Capsule), but not the watch.

Besview,

Love the 35th Anniversay watch. I gave that one a miss recently and got a MacBook Pro. Sigh... not meant to be. Another came up and still did not get it. One of the best looking Speedmaster IMHO. I love the case back.

Manburg,

I was lucky to get the X-33. It is Gen 1 and early Serial number, placing it around the launch date. Got it at a good price. Comes with the titanium bracelet, 'local' long canvas strap ala NASA version and a Taikonaut NATO strap. I got the Kevlar strap to make it 'more like' the watch used by the astronauts.

I like the 35th Anniv, do you have any problem with reading the time on that one?

Hobbit, any chance you can show us the X-33 wrist shots? Or maybe a few more close up shots?

Manburg,

Here are the pictures:

The watch with other things I collect, rc robots.

Other views:

You can see that the outer AR coating is badly scratched up.

Manburg,

Here are the pictures:

Hobbit,

Very nice!

I could see that the bezel is shiny. Did you get it in such a state or was it re-done later?

Manburg,

The bezel is polished. The brushed bezel only appeared in Gen 2. The difference between Gen 1 (mine) and Gen 2 are:

1. Bezel: polished vs brushed.
2. Gen 2 has a lumed pip at the 12 o'clock position. Gen 1 has the red arrow.
3. Unidirectional bezel on Gen 1 vs Bidirectional on Gen 2.
4. Crown, easier to pull on Gen 2 as the crown has groves parallel to the case as opposed to Gen 1 where the groves are perpendicular to the case.
5. Brushed buttons on Gen 2, polished buttons on Gen 1.
6. Engraving on the case back. On the Gen 2 you will find 'Flight-Qualified by NASA for Space Missions'.

There are pro and cons on the design difference.

Hobbit, what's your view of the local Omega scene, anything interesting? In particular, where can one get good prices for pre-owned Omegas?
