Yes, it is. I like the v series shape and especially the key parts are galvanized , this ensure the parts forever stays rust free.

Waiting for the preowned piece owner reply and if not so much difference from brand new, then i will get from AD.

Compare to Seiko Credor.... RM15k for a preowned piece is a basic to me. No offense.

From your list, only 2 real contenders stood out for me- the vintage DJ and GS. These 2 will have real wrist presence. MTG is more for the rough and tough sports. For me, I normally wear my Rangeman to plantations and hard sports, where it serves a purpose; although I do see many sporting G-Shocks but looked like they had been hibernating for ages. (In a way, I guess that speaks for many of us with our 1000m WR diver watches, LOL). 7Friday is more of a fashion watch, while AN is nice as an interim watch but you would always hamper for an upgrade to the next real deal. Just my 2 sen.

In my opinion, I would disregard any vintage as a 'basic' watch to a brand. Due to technological changes the vintage may not truly reflect the capabilities of the brand at this moment. If you are into pre-owned watches, search for one that is still in production. This would give a better feel to the brand.

2 months have passed. It's time for me to update what were my final decisions and what are my thorough considerations during the watches searching process.

1. Preowned 80's rolex datejust 36mm about RM8.6k~~
I ended up buying a 70's handwind Rolex Cellini with movement 1601 and a year 2010 black dial Explorer II model:16570. Cost about RM 23k in total.

2. Brand new Casio MTG latest model about RM3.6k~~
Saw a heavily discounted piece with RM 300 less. But after put on my wrist and there was no "love spark" between us. Just have to say goodbye.

3. Preowned 7friday v series ~~
My offer to the preowned piece owner was too low and it was sold. By the way, I saw it at Siam Paragon centre, Bangkok. The watch is big and there was no click with me. So it was a pass.

4. Preowned Armand Nicolet moonphase annual calender~~
I thought it was an annual calendar watch and I really keen to pull a trigger but I was not saving fast enough and it was sold. But then I checked its "complete calendar" function, it is nothing near annual calendar. It is not my grail watch actually.

5. Preowned near mint GS limited edition with dial full of tiny GS logo - RM15k~~
After few closer looks at GS watches, the more I look at them the more fire were putting off. The thirst for GS infamous shinny hands and accurate GS movement, I somehow can get it quenched by looking at my MM300.

This month is busy. While working hard to meet hectic schedule/deadline, I was busy trying out Panerai and looking out for my below grail watches.

Updates: Already contacted few preowned shops to look out any preowned GS.

2. Preowned omega constellation (good condition with yellow gold bezel and lining).
Updates: I suddenly found a very good condition preowned Omega Constellation Chronometer 15023000. The price is so irresistible after bargaining.

. I looking at it on my wrist-I am a happy man!
So happy to have it indeed.

3. Preowned JLC Reverso.
Updates: Still no sign of it. I contacted few preowned shop too. While waiting for their calls, one of the shop owner told me that I can try my luck at Singapore people park or lucky plaza.

Time flies and it's been 6 months already since my last updates.

1. My passion to GS seems diminishing, ever since I wear more MM300 and tried on the GS limited edition few times during weekends. The last stalk killing the camel is actually my lately acquired Cocktail.
I am not sure how long it will take for me to fall in love with GS again. Hope that GS can surprise me with new features in future.

2. I bought the preowned JLC Reverso just now. Everything just nicely fallen into right place... Watch condition is nice, the watch model is what I wanted, the price is so right.... (except for there was no pretty and young lady serving me in the preowned watch shop).
I finally found my inner peace now. My watch collection is now switching to hypernation model.

Anyways, good choice for choosing the reverso. One of my bucket list watches in the long future.
