I am recently planning to get a new watch after owning ROLEX. About RM 22k budget, will you guys go for a basic Panerai model like PAM00005 , PAM 000, PAM111 or Franck Muller V45 Vanguard?

Panerai is very famous among Malaysian and the design is very antique fashion feel. But Frank Muller is something not so mainstream and consider rare ppl wearing it if compare to Panerai.

It all depends on whether the watch that you want to buy is to please yourself or is to please others.

If it is for you to socialise and blend with others then just follow the flow and join the mainstream.

If it is for your own pleasure then just follow your heart, don't need to care for other people thoughts, just be yourself... cheers!

Go to shop and try out both.
Both have very different look and shape.
I think the FM is more flashy.

Im not a fan of Franck Muller TBH but the Vanguard models are quite interesting to me. Definately would go for one of em soon

When faced with a similiar situation, I know i went with a pre-owned PAM000 and still had cash leftover for me to indulge in one or two straps for the Panerai. But that is just me. I personally find that the Franck Muller is not my cup of tea.

For myself , if I'm looking for an iconic design piece it should be a Pam . On rotational wear each month after owning it for several years I still find the pillow shape design of my 466 breath taking,though it's one of the cheaper watch I still keep until today.

having owned both FM and Panerai (FM sold). I would suggest going for the Panerai .

FM in my view are not so well made and you can easily get bored with it. However, you should buy the watch you really like.

Between these 2, I would go for a PAM as well. Would have a tougher choice personally if it's between a Rolex and a PAM
