It feel a little quiet here lately. Let's play.
As said in the title, what're your Grail or best watch ok these categories. And while you are (or aren't) saving towards those target, what're your alternative choices. Attainable means still can get if we eat roti for 3 years and get 3 month bonus per year and have 10% annual salary growth. :)
I shall start first.

Tool / diver watch: Blancpain fifty fathom (Grail, attainable).
Everyday, all occasions nice watch: Patek 5712G (Grail), Rolex GMT 2 (Attainable)
Dress: Patek calatrava (Grail), JLC reverso (attainable)
Chrono: Patek 5170 (Grail), zenith el primero (attainable)
Other / grand complications: I mentioned Patek too many time, but it rule the grand complication segment - so, Patek 5270 (Grail).

As I now have zero Patek, Grail may remain Grail forever ????

The investment banking industry seems to be in a bad shape, 15% would be bloody amazing for me next year.

Everyday: IWC BP - Markus Bühler (Attainable, just almost impossible to locate in Asia)
Dress: ALS Perpetual Tourbillon & IWC BP Perpetual Saint Exupery (Holy Grail)
Chrono: IWC Miramar 3890 (Attainable)

Just need another round of that yearly bonus to fund my next IWC

Bro, you sure are a big IWC fan. Too bad my skinny wrist can't carry the Big Pilot, I would love one otherwise.

Dress watch: Patek 5196P (grail), JLC MUT Moon / ALS Saxonia (attainable)

At the rate you are adding, I can see a few of your Grail turned into reality in the not too distant future. Maybe next month?  :D

  • My precious
For me, there so many more watches that I would like to owe and not enough dough.
Let's try....

Tool / diver watch: happy with current watches under this category. Rolex Explorer 1655 and 16550 cream dial (Grail, attainable but so difficult to find one in good unmodified condition).

Everyday, all occasions nice watch: Also happy with current watches under this category, Patek 3417 Anti-magnetic (Grail)

Dress: happy with current watches under this category, FP Journe Choronometre Bleu (Grail, attainable)

Chrono: only have the IWC 3714 Portugieser, ALS Datograph 39mm version (Grail)

Other / grand complications: Do not have anything under this category but so many that I want. ALS Zeitwerk (Grail), FP Journe box set of 5 stainless steel shown below (Grail), Gronefeld 1 hertz (Grail) & lastly a Patek 5575G (Grail).

The tourbillon souverain movement is in brass and reflected too much light. cannot see from photo.

I'll stop dreaming and going back to work now.

Patek has the most mentioned, as expected.
Followed by Seiko.  :D I really enjoyed my GS SBGA125 btw.

Now, FPJourne is a brand I admire a lot, but had yet to see one in person.
I especially like this chronometre souverain.

If the real watch turned out as good as the photo, I shall start buying 4D today.

I can't get over this piece. At the moment it's grail enough for me.

Only other pieces I would purchase from Patek are 5070 5970 or 5131. These r also grail for me.

Apart from that I got a new ceramic Daytona SS on order.
