Surprising dinner turnout
« on: March 04, 2016, 05:01:30 PM »
My colleagues and I decided last night to meet up for dinner. And to our surprise, more than half of those who showed up was wearing a Rolex. The best part is, it was all different models of Rolexes. It was a pleasant evening of German food and beer. But the highlight was the coincidence of us wearing the same brand and the love we have for watches.

Nice watch, bro. Your next gathering should consider to include "Blue Deepsea", "Batman" and "Coke" to complete the collection. Cheers.

Just wondering though what if one of your friends was also present - and he's a hardcore WUS, but wearing a Seiko diving watch. Would you guys look down upon him?

Yo Rim, its a personal choice and opinion. You are going to be " Keeping up with Jonesses ?" or you buy what satisfies you ?
There is no end to comparison or who is better. They will always be something which is better otherwise how do there manufacture keep increasing their sales. So why bother and self inflict yourself which what people think and perceive.

Most of us have two or more Seiko watches. And if the majority of us happen to be wearing a Seiko, it would have been a Seiko shot.

The response that I was expecting? "what a coincidence"...what are the chances of the six of us wearing the same brand but different models? Most of us also have more than one Rolex. It's not a big deal. Only a watch. Why do you wanna make it a big deal?

Thanks, we are a fan of watches, not specifically a single brand.
