Last addition for the year: BAM
« on: December 22, 2015, 06:37:00 AM »
I have been keen on the Cartier Diver since it came out years back...was out at the ADs and walked away knowing I can make the sales rep an offer for less than the lowest price on the interwebz and he would probably take it.
(dude says Malaysia is not bringing in the Caliber Diver anymore and he was willing to talk)
Anyways..it was on my mind but something held me back.

Fast forward coupla days...the Watch Gods sent me a chance FS ad on the local forums...I have met Sean at a local GTG earlier this year (man of taste).
Texted him an offer..he countered with a still very reasonable offer...met up few hours later over coffee and here we are.
All the plastics were still on (like Brice's Pelagos)

crown almost right side up

beautiful blue black transition

naturally begs to be compared to the 16710

pardon the lint

its just a matter of dimensions and technological upgrades...both are keepers. (For now? lol)

gotta sneak in the BPFF somehow

lume naturally

You my friend, is a man of taste...congrats on your last purchase of the year.

I do have a quick question for you. While I do not have the BLNR or a 16710, I do have a 116710LN. And many that I have spoken to have had mixed reviews of the PCLs on the GMT IIC. Coming from s Milgauss GV, it was a rather easy transition for me since I already have PCLs on the previous watch. But now I am kinda getting the itch to send my bracelet to a watch guy to have it brushed.

Many who have owned the 16710 says that the 116710 should stay true to its original design of a "tool" watch and keep its brushed bracelets. What say you?

Oooooo...that YM looks good.

I can see that you also subscribe to TRF. I saw a glide lock bracelet on the FS section over there. Hmmmmmm...I wonder...
