Double Tudor week
« on: December 10, 2015, 05:05:40 PM »
Something 'new'

spectacular vintage vibes

hat tip to my mates over at DWC for their flipperitis
-------------------------------------------------------
something 'newer'...like...Brice took it from the AD and put it FS right away new...

--------------------------------------------------------

The Black Bay is quite interesting...reasonably thick..and the slab case side may turn folks off...but boy..
the gilt dial..the domed crystal..its a beauty indeed. The flat caseback actually makes it a better watch on a nato or a leather strap imo...the height and weight makes it dig into the wrist

The Pelagos...this one's a modern stunner

look at the clasp

look at the lines

i much prefer Gen 1's look with the 2 line and the marker at 3

So...how do they compare to the sub? :)

first..they make the Sub looks positively tiny...maxi lugs and all
secondly...it once again proves the enduring influences of the Sub..how well made and designed it is.
They CAN all be in a collection.

Enjoy!

newb question... is that a Black Bay maroon or black? cos i noticed that bezel is black but crown is red

Beautiful collection.  I have been eyeing the Black Bay Black ever since it came out, definitely an interesting piece.

Definitely beauties- my preference goes toward the 1) Pelagos 2) BB Black 3) SubND. Like you, I prefer the Pelagos V1 compared to Pelagos V2. I thought that I could lived with the 5-liner as I really liked the blue; so I placed my V1 on sale and found a genuine buyer whom was eager to deal over the weekend. But I thought that I better just go and try on the Blue V2 prior to letting go the V1, and when both were side by side, the V2 dial was simply too busy. Looks like a no-brainer to keep the V1 after that  :Jumping: And will make place for a BB Black in future. Had the BB Red and loved that, but it wasn't very versatile. The BB Black should be easier as a rotational daily-beater. Great pieces you have there, mate!

Mine is on rubber in the winder; and after seeing your pic, mate, I'm inspired to change from the LV on my wrist to the PV1 after posting this. Cheers

The Pelagos looks like a modern classic, and it's so much lower-priced than the iconic Rolex!

Interesting aftermarket bezel.
Should customise the red triangle too. Haha

Wow, all images posted above are tempting~!
Tudor is much more than a half-priced Rolex now.
The Daytona C in Steel is my dream watch now...

Hi Mike, I have to admit that your BB looked great with the Nato. I've always loved the Tudor Nato- good quality and great signature buckle. Wear yours in good health, mate.

agree with above. somehow the Tudor looks better with a Nato strap. Though, the supplied nato strap doesn't really do it for me.... The Omega Seamaster Nato looks pretty bad ass. Maybe it'll work with the BB
